Celem pracy była ocena parametrów fizykochemicznych oraz mikrobiologicznych niepasteryzowanych soków owocowych i warzywnych podczas próby przechowalniczej. Analizie poddano takie parametry fizykochemiczne, jak: pH, kwasowość ogólną, gęstość względną oraz zawartość ekstraktu. W badaniach mikrobiologicznych określono ilość mikroorganizmów oraz przeprowadzono ocenę jakościową badanych soków. Przetrzymywanie otwartych soków przez jedną godzinę w temperaturze pokojowej nie wpłynęło istotnie na zmianę parametrów fizykochemicznych. A new picking algorithm based on the variance piecewise constant models

AbstractIn this paper, we propose a novel picking algorithm for the automatic P- and S-waves onset time determination. Our algorithm is based on the variance piecewise constant models of the earthquake waveforms. The effectiveness and robustness of our picking algorithm are tested both on synthetic seismograms and real data. We simulate seismic events with different magnitudes (between 2 and 5) recorded at different epicentral distances (between 10 and 250 km). For the application to real data, we analyse waveforms from the seismic sequence of L’Aquila (Italy), in 2009. Based on consumers' preferences, AI (artificial intelligence) recommendation automatically filters information, which provokes scholars' debate. Supporters believe that by analyzing the consumers' preferences, AI recommendation enables consumers to choose products more quickly and with lower cost. Critics deem that consumers are more easily trapped in information cocoons because of the use of AI recommendation. Many specialist herbivores have evolved strategies to cope with plant defences, with gut microbiota potentially participating to such adaptations. In this study, we assessed whether the history of plant use (population origin) and microbiota may interact with plant defence adaptation. We tested whether microbiota enhance the performance of Melitaea cinxia larvae on their host plant, Plantago lanceolata and increase their ability to cope the defensive compounds, iridoid glycosides (IGs). In countries suffering from chronic water shortages, water distribution systems are often operated on an intermittent basis. As a consequence, the network is involved by cyclical filling and emptying periods causing water quality degradation. During the emptying period, the distribution system is unpressurised and it may occur that pollutants move into the network. Moreover, the stagnation period can promote microbial growth.
