Foot-strike and the associated load rate are factors related to overuse injuries in runners. The purpose of this study was to analyse structural and functional changes in runners using floating heel running shoes, compared with runners using conventional footwear. A randomised control trial was conducted. Twenty runners with overuse injuries were followed over a 12-week gait retraining programme using floating heel running shoes or their conventional footwear. Do budowy opolskiego odcinka autostrady A-4 przystąpiono latem 1997 r. Niedługo po rozpoczęciu budowy zaczęły się ostre protesty organizacji ekologicznych. Kością niezgody stał się jej odcinek przecinający Park Krajobrazowy Góra Świętej Anny, bezpośrednio sąsiadujący również ze ścisłym rezerwatem przyrody Ligota Dolna, chroniącym rzadką roślinność ciepłolubną. W latach 2011-2013 na terenie pasa drogowego autostrady A4 przechodzącego przez teren Parku Krajobrazowego Góra Świętej Anny w województwie opolskim przeprowadzono szczegółowe badania mikologiczne, geobotaniczne, florystyczne i faunistyczne. L’Elsässischer Turnerbund, devenue en 1918 l’Avant-garde du Rhin, avait pour principe de faire des sportifs de bons catholiques et de bons patriotes. Identification of a new nonsense mutation (Tyr129Stop) of the SRY gene in a newborn infant with XY sex-reversal.

Point mutations and deletions of SRY gene have been described in several cases of XY gonadal dysgenesis. To date, most of these mutations affect the HMG domain of SRY which plays a central role in DNA binding activity of SRY. We report on a non-mosaic XY sex-reversed newborn girl (completely female external genitalia). The direct sequencing of SRY showed a new nonsense mutation in a codon of SRY gene flanking the 3' end of the HMG domain: a thymine is replaced by a guanine at position +387 in codon 129, resulting in the replacement of the amino acid tyrosine (TAT) by a stop codon (TAG). The role of regional competitiveness in shaping the heterogeneous impact of the Great Recession

This paper assesses the employment resilience of 202 European regions to the Great Recession by investigating the role of regional competitiveness. By using the regional shift component derived from a multiple bases shift–share analysis of employment change as a measure of regional endogenous employment growth, we show that pre‐crisis regional competitiveness determinants are associated with positive performances during the crisis period. However, the variables considered explain well the different vulnerability of the economies, but less convincingly the ability to recover. Przestrzenna metoda przesunięć udziałów stanowi alternatywę klasycznej analizy shift-share, w której nie jest uwzględnione geograficzne położenie rozważanych regionów. Wiele zachodzących zjawisk, ich rozwój czy też kierunki zmian są bowiem uzależnione od przestrzennych interakcji zachodzących pomiędzy sąsiadującymi regionami. Model przestrzennej analizy shift-share został wprowadzony do badań przez Nazarę i Hewingsa. Model ten przedstawia przestrzennie zmodyfikowane stopy wzrostu (tempa zmian) poszczególnych wariantów zjawiska przez uwzględnienie temp wzrostu zjawiska w obszarach sąsiadujących.
