SUMMARYTwo sensitive sandwich ELISAs based on monoclonal antibodies directed to native C6 and C7 allowed the detection and quantitation of these complement proteins in 20 out of 37 serum samples from individuals who had previously been classified as deficient in these proteins as assessed by immunochemical and/or functional assays. The phenolic profiles of Polish honey samples from heather (Calluna vulgaris L.) and buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum L.) were determined. The phenolic components were isolated from honey samples using Amberlite-XAD-2 as a solid-phase extraction sorbent. For the determination of the composition of the honey extracts HPLC with photodiode array detector was applied. Identification and quantification of phenolics was performed by comparison of their retention times and UV spectra with those of standard solutions of pure reference substances and by using those references as external standards. Development and validation of a micellar liquid chromatographic method to determine three antitumorals in plasma

Aim: A micellar liquid chromatographic method to determine several anticancer drugs (pazopanib, dabrafenib and regorafenib) in plasma was developed and validated by the guidelines of the EMA. Experimental: Plasma samples were directly injected, after a 1/5-dilution in a micellar solution. The drugs were resolved in <18 min using a C18 column. The mobile phase was an aqueous solution of 0.12 M SDS – 2% 1-pentanol, buffered at pH 7. The detection was performed by absorbance at 260 nm. Principal users of a such data-bank are, of course, physicians and biologists that are mainly interested in statistical analysis (computation of averages, variances factor analysis, etc.) of immunological and epidemiological relevance, in order to investigate about some haematochemical parameters common to some selected subset of the archives [1], [2].

Summary In vitro D-dimer stability in plasma is widely assumed, but has not yet been documented by systematic studies using samples covering a wide range of D-dimer. We investigated the short- and long-term stability of D-dimer in clinical citrated plasma samples with normal and pathological levels. The short-term stability was analysed by measuring D-dimer fresh, after storage of plasma for 4 hours at room temperature (RT) and after an additional 24 h storage at +2 to +8°C (n=40).
