Pamatskolas skolēnu globālās kompetences veicināšana skolotāju skatījumā (Korejas gadījums)

2021

2007

Assigning teachers to classrooms: The case of French primary schools - This paper reports a study which focused on teachers'assignment in French elementary school whose headmasters have no decision-making powers. Using both in-depth interviews with 18 headmasters and data about teachers and classrooms within their schools, the analysis shows that the potential for problems is significant as far as teachers are sorted into classrooms based on their preference first. When those individual preferences compete, a few basic rules apply and some arrangements should be found amongst members of the staff. Actually, this study reveals that bargaining, or at times yielding to teachers'preferences abo…

Associations between observed patterns of classroom interactions and teacher wellbeing in lower secondary school

2019

Classroom observations and teacher self-reports were used to examine the relationships between patterns of teacherestudent interactions and the wellbeing of Norwegian lower secondary school teachers. Latent profile analysis identified four subgroups. Teacherestudent interactions and the teachers' wellbeing were inter-related in that teachers who were observed to be high in all the interaction domains (Emotional Support, Classroom Organization, and Instructional Support) perceived themselves as having high job satisfaction. The results showed that improving teachers’ wellbeing has the potential to improve teacherestudent interactions and vice versa. The study also discusses the use of classr…

2012

From primary to secondary school, teachers’ children get the best results. However, very little research has looked in to the family processes on which this singular success is built. Based on the demonstration of the link between "achieve the best school performance" and "being a child of whom at least one parent is a teacher", this study aims to establish family factors, in particular parental educational practices, that explain this significant "teacher effect". From econometric analysis of the Panel 95 survey, it transpires that, on the one hand, teachers’ children are the most likely to benefit from the best practices of socialization and support at school and, on the other hand, that …
