Darba aktualitāte: Mugurkaula jostas daļas diska trūce ir viena no visizplatītākajām deģeneratīvām mugurkaula slimībām, kas skar 2% līdz 3% populācijas. Apmēram, 20% gadījumos muguras sāpes rada darba nespēju, kas ietekmē valsts ekonomisko stāvokli. Pēdējo 30 gadu laikā daudzi tehniskie uzlabojumi ir samazinājuši operatīvo traumu skaitu, tādējādi samazinot pēcoperācijas sāpes un uzturēšanos laiku slimnīcā, vienlaikus uzlabojot klīniskos iznākumus. Strain gauges, which can be glued on or integrated to the observed material, are the most common nondestructive sensing elements for measuring surface strain. Locating the nodes of outdoor wireless sensor networks (WSNs) using (tri)lateration with a low-cost ranging technique, such as the received signal strength indicator (RSSI), often results in inaccurate location estimates.
