In south-eastern France, the récent Bell-Beaker culture is marked by the presence of a regional Rhône-Provence group having complex relationships with other régional Bell-Beaker and regional final Neolithic groups. The analysis from a spatial point of view and at different levels (cultural space, territory, land) leads to a better knowledge of prehistoric geography and also to raises other questions, such as chronology, history of populations and socio-economic models.

This paper investigates the role of lighting in the quintessential commercial place: the supermarket. The aim of the article is to understand how lights contribute to construct the sense of a place and to define the supermarket as a text. Supermarket's system of illumination reveals the construcion of a framed text the connect fresh products with canned product. From a structuralistic pont of view, both industrial and organic supermarkets will be considered as the different treatment of lighting gives rise ti twi opposing ideologies of sale and consumption.

Numerical methods for a nonlinear impact model: A comparative study with closed-form corrections

A physically based impact model-already known and exploited in the field of sound synthesis-is studied using both analytical tools and numerical simulations. It is shown that the Hamiltonian of a physical system composed of a mass impacting on a wall can be expressed analytically as a function of the mass velocity during contact. Moreover, an efficient and accurate approximation for the mass outbound velocity is presented, which allows to estimate the Hamiltonian at the end of the contact. Cable manufacturing industries are constantly trying to improve the electrical performance of power cables. During the years, it was found that one of the most relevant degradation factors influencing the cable lifetime is the presence of space charge in the insulation layer. To detect the accumulated charge, the pulsed electro-acoustic (PEA) method is the most used technique. Despite the wide use of the PEA cell, several issues are still present. The results of an experimental investigation on pressure drop and heat transfer in spacer-filled plane channels, which are representative of Membrane Distillation units, are presented and discussed. Local and mean heat transfer coefficients were obtained by using Thermochromic Liquid Crystals and Digital Image Processing. The southern part of the A1 motorway (D1 in Czech designation) is a functioning infrastructure corridor connecting the Czech and Polish parts of the Upper Silesian Agglomeration, which is significant for the development of medium-sized cities in this region.
