Conceptions of Assessment as an Integral Part of Language Learning: A Case Study of Finnish and Chinese University Students

Assessment is viewed as an internal and pivotal part of learning, where cultural factors, previous experiences, and future aspirations affect learners’ perceptions. In recent years, an increasing number of western universities have established their campuses or “dual” programmes in China. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES' ANALYSIS IN ROMANIAN UNIVERSITIES

This study focuses on extracurricular activities in the field of career guidance and aims to analyse this kind of activities within five Romanian universities. The students' opinion but also their involvement in such activities are captured. The research was conducted by means of the questionnaire method where 728 students of the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Politehnica University Timișoara, Babeș Bolyai University Cluj, Bucharest University of Economic Studies and Politehnica University Bucharest were questioned. This study highlights specific problems and potential improvements related to career guidance extracurricular activities.

Diplomdarba mērķis ir pārbaudīt kinestētiskās iesildīšanās uzdevumus vārdu krājuma apguvei angļu valodas stundās 5.klasē. Šāda diplomdarba tēma bija izvēlēta, jo autore uzskata, ka mācot 10-11 gadus vecus skolēnus, iesildīšanās uzdevumus jāizmanto vairāk, jo tie rada pozitīvu un draudzīgu atmosfēru klasē. Turklāt, skolēni tiek iesaistīti fiziskās aktivitātēs, un šīs aktivitātes ļauj skolēniem komunicēt no stundas sākuma radot jautrību, tādējādi rosinot un uzturot viņu interesi par angļu valodas mācīšanos aizraujošā veidā. The complexity of knowledge construction in a classroom setting

International audience; We study a class of mathematics education MA students in an introductory course on Chaos and Fractals, as they grapple with the Sierpinksi triangle, and in particular with the apparent paradox that its area equals 0, while its perimeter is infinitely long. For this purpose, we network an approach for investigating the construction of knowledge in small groups with one for examining how ideas and ways of reasoning function-as-if-shared in a classroom.
