The poster concerns the metric survey of historic architecture for the restoration project. Are, in particular, highlighted the direct method and the photogrammetric method, which, together, allow you to optimize the representation of ancient architecture.

Chromosome 15q BP4-BP5 Deletion in a Girl with Nocturnal Frontal Lobe Epilepsy, Migraine, Circumscribed Hypertrichosis, and Language Impairment

2020

The 15q13.3 microdeletion (microdel15q13.3) syndrome (OMIM 612001) has been reported in healthy subjects as well as in individuals with a wide spectrum of clinical manifestations ranging from mild to severe neurological disorders, including developmental delay/intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, schizophrenia, epilepsy, behavioral problems and speech dysfunction. This study explored the link between this genomic rearrangement and nocturnal frontal lobe epilepsy (NFLE), which could improve the clinical interpretation. A clinical and genomic investigation was carried out on an 8-year-girl with a de novo deletion flanking the breakpoints (BPs) 4 and 5 of 15q13.3 detected by arra…

The “chessboard” classification scheme of mineral deposits: Mineralogy and geology from aluminum to zirconium

2010

Abstract Economic geology is a mixtum compositum of all geoscientific disciplines focused on one goal, finding new mineral depsosits and enhancing their exploitation. The keystones of this mixtum compositum are geology and mineralogy whose studies are centered around the emplacement of the ore body and the development of its minerals and rocks. In the present study, mineralogy and geology act as x - and y -coordinates of a classification chart of mineral resources called the “chessboard” (or “spreadsheet”) classification scheme. Magmatic and sedimentary lithologies together with tectonic structures (1 - D/pipes, 2 - D/veins) are plotted along the x -axis in the header of the spreadsheet dia…

The mobility and the job success of the Sicilian graduates

2018

The paper focuses on the job success of Sicilians Graduates comparing people who remain in Sicily for work reasons (Stayers) and who moves from Sicily to another Italian region or abroad (Movers) during 2016. Data referred to the Almalaurea Consortium annual survey collecting data of first and second level graduates interviewed at one, three or five years from graduation. We model the probability to be a successful graduate by means of a logistic regression model considering job and curriculum characteristics. The results show that many factors influence the job success, with some differences between graduates interviwed 1 or 5 years after graduation, but it is clear that to be a Mover incr…

Clinician-related factors behind the decision to extract an asymptomatic lower third molar. A cross-sectional study based on Spanish and Portuguese d…

2017

Background: Scientific literature estimates that around 18 to 40 % of asymptomatic third molars are extracted. The aims of the present study were to determine the indications for extraction of asymptomatic lower third molars in a sample of Spanish and Portuguese dentists, and to relate these indications to the clinicians’ training and professional experience. Material and Methods: A survey consisting of 15 cases of asymptomatic lower third molars was emailed to Portuguese and Spanish dentists. The clinicians were asked to assess the level of difficulty of the extractions and to make a reasoned recommendation based on the panoramic radiographs, gender and age of the patients. Results: 381 cl…

Psychometric properties of observational tools for identifying motor difficulties - a systematic review.

2018

Background Early identification of children with motor difficulties, such as developmental coordination disorder (DCD), is essential. At present only a fraction of children with DCD are identified. The purpose of the study was to systematically review the literature from 1994 to 2017 on observational screening tools and to evaluate the validity, reliability and usability of the questionnaires used. Methods The review of the literature was conducted to synthesize the data from five electronic databases for children aged 6–12 years. The following databases were searched: Academic search Elite (EBSCO), ERIC (ProQuest), MEDLINE (Ovid), PsycINFO (ProQuest), and SPORTDiscus with Full Text (EBSCO)…
