Elementary school teachers adapt their instructional support according to students' academic skills – A variable and person-oriented approach

This study examined the longitudinal associations between children’s academic skills and the instructional support teachers gave individual students. A total of 253 Finnish children were tested on reading and math skills twice in the first grade and once in the second grade. The teachers of these children rated the instructional support that they gave each child in reading and mathematics. The results showed that the poorer the student’s reading and math skills were, the more support and attention the student received from his or her teacher later on. Przeanalizowano różne wypowiedzi internetowe z lutego 2017 r., ukazując, jak postrzegany jest katecheta w świecie wirtualnym. W oparciu o te teksty wyprowadzono wnioski i postulaty dotyczące zaangażowania współczesnych katechetów w percepcję i współtworzenie rzeczywistości wirtualnej.

Opettajan ammattia koskevan kiinnostuksen on havaittu viime vuosina heikentyneen monissa läntisissä teollisuusmaissa. Suomessa tilanne on monia muita maita parempi, mutta myös täällä on viritetty keskustelua mahdollisesta opettajapulasta. Sen pelätään pahenevan, varsinkin kun opettajan työssä vielä tällä hetkellä olevat suuret ikäluokat ovat jäämässä eläkkeelle. Tässä raportissa esitetään laskelmat, joilla ennakoidaan vuoden 2025 opettajatarvetta maassamme ja arvioidaan tämän opettajatarpeen tyydyttämisen vaatimaa opettajankoulutuksen volyymiä.
