How does shear zone nucleate? An example from the Suretta nappe (Swiss Eastern Alps)
2016
In order to address the question of the processes involved during shear zone nucleation, we present a petro-structural analysis of millimetre-scale shear zones within the Roffna rhyolite (Suretta nappe, Eastern central Alps). Field and microscopic evidences show that ductile deformation is localized along discrete fractures that represent the initial stage of shear zone nucleation. During incipient brittle deformation, a syn-kinematic metamorphic assemblage of white mica + biotite + epidote + quartz precipitated at ca. 8.5 ± 1 kbar and 480 ± 50 °C that represent the metamorphic peak conditions of the nappe stacking in the continental accretionary wedge during Tertiary Alpine subduction. Role of the small heat shock protein alphaB-crystallin in pulmonary fibrosis and its implication in the signaling pathway of the Transforming Growth …
2013
Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) has no effective current treatment. It is characterized by a sub-pleural onset and the presence of myofibroblasts, responsible for the excessive extracellular matrix synthesis. Transforming Growth Factor (TGF)-β1 is considered as the major profibrotic cytokine. Its signaling pathway occurs through the Smads proteins, including Smad4. TGF-β1 allows the differentiation of lung fibroblasts and epithelial and mesothelial cells into myofibroblasts. AB-crystallin is a small heat shock protein overexpressed in liver, renal and vascular fibrosis and can be induced by TGF-β1. In this study, we assessed the role of αB-crystallin in pleural and pulmonary fibrosis. W…

Vulnérabilité territoriale et résiliences: résistances et capacités adaptatives face aux aléas climatiques
2013
Namely inherited by its double "reactive" and "proactive" dimensioning, the multisacalar status of the resilience concept is illustrated here by the storm Xynthia, which occured in France on February 2010. Through designing this disaster as a structural traduction of townplanning dysfunction, resilience appears to formalize a paradigmatic change of natural risk treatment, namely applied to urban development strategies.

Quand un dispositif d’accompagnement disparait : les effets sur les parcours des étudiants de santé
2023
This research is as part of current works about transition plans for students, specially medical students in France. It analyses how students make training choices as they can be given vocational guidance or not. Effects of transition programme are examined from a new point of view since we also consider results when this program doesn’t exist anymore. We can point out persistence and streams choices as main outcomes of the programme. In doing so, we highlight institutional factors in academic paths.

L’observatoire de la transition socio-écologique en Franche-Comté. Une référence pour l’Observatoire « Drââ » de la Province de Ouarzazate
2018
This paper presents the principles, method and main results of the Observatory of the Socio-Ecological Transition in Franche-Comté (OTSE-fc). The latter is currently used as a reference for the development of the Drâa observatory of the Province of Ouarzazate as part of the CNRS-CNRST scientific cooperation project 2015-2016. At the request of the participants of the workshop, we also summarized the progress of the territorial diagnosis of the Province of Ouarzazate, which constitutes the basis of the Drââ Observatory. The advances concern a diagnosis carried out among 1650 inhabitants of the province, its main quantitative results and a first exploitation of a qualitative analysis exposing…
