A cubic neural unit is a kind of a higher-order neural unit which can be used for prediction tasks among others, in the medical field. The example of the tasks includes monitoring cardiac behavior in real-time either for preemptive treatment, or for supporting a doctor to reach a more accurate diagnosis. Background Adding cyclic short sustained inflations (sigh) to assisted ventilation yields optimizes lung recruitment, decreases heterogeneity and reduces inspiratory effort in patients with acute hypoxemic respiratory failure (AHRF). These findings suggest that adding sigh to pressure support ventilation (PSV) might decrease the risk of lung injury, shorten weaning and improve clinical outcomes. In this thesis we present an overview of some important known facts related to topology, geometry and calculus on metric spaces. We discuss the well known problem of the existence of a lipschitz equivalent metric to a given quasiultrametric, revisiting known results and counterexamples and providing some new theorems, in an unified approach. In the last two decades, the use of pumice as lightweight aggregate for concrete in structural applications has been the object of different studies. The aim was to find out if pumice can be an alternative to ordinary lightweight aggregate. The present paper is framed in this context. Here, a study is presented showing the use of pumice for making lightweight concrete units for masonry members. Through the paper, the formulation of a mix design for lightweight concrete is proposed. AbstractThe paper focuses on the issue of creating equivalence links in the domain of bilingual computational lexicography. The existing interlingual links between plWordNet and Princeton WordNet synsets (sets of synonymous lexical units – lemma and sense pairs) are re-analysed from the perspective of equivalence types as defined in traditional lexicography and translation. Special attention is paid to cognitive and translational equivalents. A proposal of mapping lexical units is presented.
