Recently the companies’ interest on a correct knowledge management is grown, more than interest on the mere knowledge itself. AIM: The aim of this work is to evaluate the metabolic impact of Partial Volume Correction (PVC) on the measurement of the Standard Uptake Value (SUV) from [18F]FDG PET-CT oncological studies for treatment monitoring purpose. METHODS: Twenty-nine breast cancer patients with bone lesions (42 lesions in total) underwent [18F]FDG PET-CT studies after surgical resection of breast cancer primitives, and before (PET-I) and after (PET-II) chemotherapy and hormone treatment. The study compares the diagnostic accuracy (correct identification of cancer) of a new computer-assisted diagnosis (CAD) system (Cyclopus) with two other commercial systems (R2 and CADx). Cyclopus was tested on a set of 120 mammograms on which the two compared commercial systems had been previously tested. The set consisted of mammograms reported as negative, preceding 31 interval cancers reviewed as screening error or minimal sign, and of 89 verified negative controls randomly selected from the same screening database. In particolare, si esamina il ruolo delle pubbliche amministrazioni e degli istituti nazionali di promozione e il loro supporto tecnico e finanziario in favore delle piccole e medie imprese. The chapter analyzes the public support to the internationalization process of Italian firms. It examines the role of public administrations and national promotional banks and their financial and technical support to small and medium-sized enterprises.

In this essay, I shall analyze some arguments advanced for legal paternalism, which are fallacious or rationally insufficient. Some of the worst arguments for legal paternalism. For example, the argument of life’s sacred value, the argument of human dignity or the argument of common good. Why it is important to defend legal antipaternalism against these arguments? Because they are, in spite of their weakness, rhetorically very used in philosophical, ethical, legal, judicial debate. They likely dissimulate other arguments considered less persuasive, like the theological argument or the moral perfectionist argument for legal paternalism

The current multi-wave longitudinal study on childhood examined the role that social and academic self-efficacy beliefs and cognitive vulnerabilities play in predicting depressive symptoms in response to elevations in idiographic stressors. Children (N = 554; males: 51.4 %) attending second and third grade completed measures of depressive symptoms, negative cognitive styles, negative life events, and academic and social self-efficacy beliefs at four time-points over 6 months. Results showed that high levels of academic and social self-efficacy beliefs predicted lower levels of depressive symptoms, whereas negative cognitive styles about consequences predicted higher depression. Academic dishonesty has serious consequences for human lives, social values, and economy. The main aim of the study was to explore a model of relations between personal and cultural variables and academic dishonesty. The participants in the study were N = 2,586 individuals from nine countries (Pakistan, Israel, Italy, India, the USA, Peru, Romania, Ghana, and Poland). Several studies demonstrated that subjective well-being is associated with goal value and perceived progress but their validity is affected by methodological biases. Moreover, a few have analysed the influence of short-term goals.
