Con la presente investigación1 nos acercamos a la peculiar mirada de los docentes hacia su ciudad. Queremos averiguar si existe realmente una identidad docente en esta observación que desarrollan los educadores ante lo urbano. Para ello utilizamos una metodología basada en los estudios de caso (Hubard, 2008), habiendo podido acceder a las opiniones de educadores mediante entrevistas y actividades participativas. Miradas urbanas del profesorado iberoamericano desde la cultura visual

We are interested in knowing if there is a proper view of the teaching staff towards the urban reality. We start with verbal and visual descriptions, through images and texts. The research has been developed in Santiago de Chile, Valencia, Lima, Medellin, Montevideo and Buenos Aires, and combines direct participatory actions with personal interviews. The methodology follows a mixed method and is based on a case study that is complemented by research based on the arts. We concluded that there is a particular view of the teaching group towards their own city, which is full of critical reflection. This is a topic that has been little addressed and needs more attention.

The Sustained Attention to Response Task (SART) has been used to measure neurocognitive functions in older adults. However, simplified average features of this complex dataset may result in loss of primary information and fail to express associations between test performance and clinically meaningful outcomes. Here, we describe a new method to visualise individual trial (raw) information obtained from the SART test, vis-à-vis age, and groups based on mobility status in a large population-based study of ageing in Ireland. Gestalt Theory, Data Decomposition and Functional Architecture in Visual Neuroscience

Classical and recent result about neuronal properties, and their functions and architectural design prompted claims to bring gestalt theory to bear on neurosciences reserach. It is deemed to contribute to understand brain mechanism through descriptions of visual functions expected to be wired in the brain. The standard models of data decomposition and functional architecture in visual neuroscience are discussed. Such issues as visual primitives identification and neuronal activity integration in gestaltist terms are introduced.

Presbiopijas korekcija ar multifokālajām intraokulārajām lēcām

Bakalaura darbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 47 lapaspusēm. Tas satur 3 zīmējumus, 20 tabulas, 39 literatūras avotus un pielikumu. Darba mērķis ir salīdzināt divu jaunu intraokulāro lēcu (difraktīvā trifokālā lēca un paplašināta fokusa dziļuma multifokālā lēca) efektivitāti presbiopija korekcijā pēc kataraktas operācijas. Pētījumi tika veikti 3 mēnešu periodā pēc kataraktas operācijas, kad tika novērtēta redzes kvalitāte, mērot redzes asumu un kontrasta redzi fotopiskos gaismas un mezopiskos krēslas apstākļos. Abi introokulāro lēcu veidi nodrošināja lielisku redzes asumu visos skata attālumos un pilnu neatkarību no brillēm. Taču kontrasta jūtība un redzes asums mezopiskos krēslas apstākļos…
