Science and technology parks : measuring their contribution to society through social accounting

Science and Technology Parks (STPs) have made a positive contribution to regional development in the last decades. In general, the assessment of their level of performance has been based on two major variables: number of new companies and number of new jobs created. In this paper we propose the use of social accounting to measure the social value (SV) generated by STPs as an additional tool to assess the level of contribution of STPs to social development. Abstract Social judgments are often influenced by comparison to some standard in the environment, either moving the judgment closer (assimilating) to or away (contrasting) from this standard. Renal transplantation by automatic anastomotic device in a porcine model

Automatic vascular staplers for vascular anastomoses in kidney transplantation may dramatically reduce the operative time and, in particular, warm ischemia time, thus increasing the outcome of transplantation. Ten pigs underwent kidney auto-transplantation by automatic anastomotic device. Kidneys were collected by laparotomy with selective ligations at the renal hilum and perfused with cold storage solution. To overcome the shortage in length of renal hilum, a tract of the internal jugular vein was harvested to increase the length of the vessels. Le analisi consentono di chiarire la tavolozza e la tecnica della decorazione (pittura a tempera con un legante organico), e mostrano la presenza di pigmenti sia antichi che moderni (a causa di qualche recente riverniciatura). Dalį Ilūkstės apskrities lenkų ir lietuvių karinės pajėgos okupavo 1919 m. vasarą. Lenkų valdžios įstaigos nedelsdamos įtraukė 6 apskrities rytinės dalies valsčius ir Gryvos miestą į savo valstybės sudėtį ir atsisakė svarstyti šį klausimą su Latvijos atstovais. Klausimas buvo išspręstas tiktai 1920 m. liepos pradžioje, kai dėl Raudonosios armijos puolimo lenkų kariuomenė buvo priversta pasitraukti iš Ilūkstės apskrities. W niniejszym artykule zostaje wprowadzone do obiegu naukowego nowe źródło do badań nad historią armii litewskiej w okresie wielkiej wojny północnej (1700–1721), którym jest projekt komputu z 1703 r. Znajduje się on w Bibliotece Kórnickiej Polskiej Akademii Nauk w rękopisie o sygnaturze 985. W inwentarzu rękopisów biblioteki widnieje natomiast jako komput z 1706 r. Trudno jednak ustalić faktyczną datę jego powstania. Możliwe jest jedynie oszacowanie pewnych cezur. Sporządzony został na pewno przed 27 listopada 1703 r. (wprowadzenie w życie postanowień rady senatu w Jaworowie o pozbawieniu urzędów Sapiehów). Natomiast prawdopodobnie powstał przed lub w trakcie sejmu lubelskiego (11 czerwca – …
