'L'ADAMO, OVVERO IL MONDO CREATO' DI TOMMASO CAMPAILLA. UN CONTRIBUTO AL RINNOVAMENTO DELLA CULTURA SCIENTIFICA E LETTERARIA IN SICILIA

L’articolo analizza L’Adamo, ovvero il Mondo creato, poema scientifico-filosofico di Tommaso Campailla (1668-1740), accademico modicano, che partecipò con i suoi esperimenti scientifici e la sua opera letteraria a diffondere la filosofia cartesiana e le nuove mirabili scoperte in ogni campo del sapere. Nel poema Campailla ricorre al motivo tradizionale del viaggio di conoscenza per squadernare al Primo Uomo, Adamo, le straordinarie meraviglie della creazione, tentando una sintesi tra istanze scientifiche e nuove direttrici della poesia settecentesca.

This contribution presents data and experiences acquired within the frame of the “Inclusion Project Linguistic School of Italian Language for Foreigners” of the University of Palermo. The program, created five years ago, has designed and managed educational courses for adults and unaccompanied minors (msna) of low and very low schooling level, most of them between 16 and 18 years old, and developed a series of social initiatives related to the insertion of these minors in Sicilian Society. Secondo questa proposta di lettura dell'opera grafica di Dino Buzzati, che può essere estesa anche ad altri autori dal doppio talento, i disegni ai margini della scrittura possono essere interpretati allora nella loro funzione di relazione tra le arti che si risolve in una interazione, una negoziazione, uno slittamento oppure un conflitto, una cancellatura. Inoltre le annotazioni ai margini della scrittura, soprattutto nelle loro versioni grafiche, costituiscono una forma di introspezione autobiografica assai preziosa per ricostruire il profilo del loro autore, se scrittore e disegnatore al contempo.

Taking the political and social problems as the primary key of their works these writers want to remove the defamatory role attributed by the public opinion fomented by the press to Italian immigrated community. Their works don’t have the main intent to stage detectives that can solve a case or unmask a culprit but rather they aim to denounce social distortions corruption and injustices suffered by an entire community and not least to indicate the picture of what on the contrary that same society could have been.

L’analisi dell’opera doppia I Miracoli di Valmorel di Dino Buzzati, intesa come il miglior esito della sua produzione pittorica e letteraria, ha permesso una riflessione sulle possibilità espressive e combinatorie dei testi visivo e verbale e sulla negoziazione delle frontiere tra i due media. Il racconto a cornice dell’opera ricostruisce l’antefatto della creazione artistica: l’immaginario ritrovamento di alcune tavole di ex voto, in un santuario dedicato a Santa Rita in Val Morel, fornisce l’occasione per riprodurre i 39 dipinti che nell’edizione iconotestuale vengono accompagnati da altrettanti micro-racconti dello stesso autore. La Sicilia negli Orsi di Dino Buzzati e Lorenzo Mattotti

Nella fiaba illustrata di Dino Buzzati La famosa invasione degli orsi in Sicilia (1945) e nella sua trasposizione filmica ad opera di Lorenzo Mattotti (2019) l’ambientazione siciliana è determinante. In entrambi i casi la Sicilia è un’isola con un grande vulcano – trasfigurata in un ambiente fantastico o riscritta secondo alcuni stereotipi – che i due autori utilizzano con accezioni diverse nella costituzione dell’ecosistema delle loro narrazioni. In both cases Sicily is an island with a large volcano – transfigured into a fantastic setting or rewritten according to certain stereotypes – that the two authors use with different meanings within the ecosystem of their narratives. Only through a comparison between the two works will it be possible to distinguish the representation of the two Sicilies which are narrated within an interval of about seventy years. If one does not consider the story of the Bears merely a children’s fairy tale using simplistic stylistic devices but on the contrary sees it as an opportunity for the author to deal with serious and complex issues such as an ante litteram Ecocritical perspective or questions of inter-group conflicts derived from Subaltern or Migration Studies the images of the two Sicilies can provide altogether new interpretations.

A study of temporal estimation from the perspective of the Mental Clock Model.

Cardaci's (2000) Mental Clock Model maintains that a task requiring a low mental workload is associated with an acceleration of perceived time, whereas a task requiring a high mental workload is associated with a deceleration. Abstract The individuals’ cognitive skills, academic performance and their relationship with programming of robots or virtual learning environment is a topic of particular interest in the area of human-robot interaction.
