1991

Owing to the collections more andmore profitable, to the foundations of perpetual masses, particularly numerous in the 1480-1510 period, the rouennais churchwardens have substantial financial resources that they use in a vast programme of reconstruction of the places of worship, some purchases of somptuous vestments and some interest loans. Playing so a not insignificant part in the economy of the town, they are recruited from amogn the greatest families, who consolidate their prestige and their influence by a luxurious piety for the profit of their parish.

2019

Telemedicine is a health sector innovation which implies remote management of patient, future will tell if this innovation is a revolution for geographical healthcare access. In this perspective but despite or because of spontaneous telemedicine uses which have not spread, public authorities launched in France, in 2011, a national strategy to support the spread of telemedicine. In this context, this thesis analyzes complex interactions between public intervention and the diffusion process of telemedicine by using the theories of innovation diffusion. We built a framework for innovation diffusion of complex innovations such as telemedicine and identify three levers for diffusion that public …

Qualitative methods of structural analysis : layer-based methods are informationally trivial

2000

Some methods of qualitative structural analysis, as MFA, are based on the analysis of layers (flow matrices generated at each iteration when the equilibrium of an input-output model is computed). MFA mixes the analysis of the pure structure of production (the technical coefficients) and of the final demand. I have demonstrated that all column-coefficient matrices (or row-coefficient matrices) computed from each layer are the same in MFA: the information brought by one layer is identical to those of another layer. For a given structure of production, the only element of variability over layers is caused by the flows that final demand generates. If the new definition of layers proposed by the …

2011

The aim of that thesis is to bring a micro level contribution to the economics of innovation when using original datasets on the French case. Here the manuscript is structured in three chapters: the labour market of scientists and engineers, the incentives for innovation in the private sector and the existence of spatial spillovers in the school to work transition for graduates in science and engineering (S & I). In the first chapter of this thesis, we focus on the labour market for scientists and engineers. First, we identify the different characteristics of this labour market. We then analyze the determinants of access to R & D for young graduates in S & I. Finally, we question more broad…
