β-Adrenoceptors (β-ARs) modulate ERK1/2 and p38 in different cells, but little is known about the contribution of these signaling pathways to the function of β-ARs in vascular tissue. Immunoblotting analysis of rat aortic rings, primary endothelial (ECs) and smooth muscle cells (SMCs) isolated from aorta showed that β-AR stimulation with isoprenaline activated p38 in aortic rings and in both cultured cell types, whereas it had a dual effect on ERK1/2 phosphorylation, decreasing it in ECs while increasing it in SMCs. Abstract Salbutamol was perfused in the small intestine of rat using a standard rat gut ‘in situ’ preparation: (1) in inhibitor-free solution at seven different concentrations (0.15, 0.29, 1.20, 5.0, 9.0, 13.0 and 18.0 mM); (2) at a 0.29 mM concentration – thought to be close to the allometric dose in man – in the presence of a non-specific enzyme inhibitor, sodium azide (0.3, 3.0 and 6.0 mM); and (3) at 0.29 mM in the presence of a selective secretion inhibitor, verapamil (10.0 and 20.0 mM). The effects of α1-adrenoceptor stimulation by phenylephrine (PE) and β-adrenoceptor stimulation by isoprenaline (ISO) on Ca2+ current (ICa) and free intracellular Ca2+ concentration ([Ca2+]i) were studied in isolated atrial myocytes from rat hearts. PE did not significantly affect the magnitude of ICa, whereas large increases of peak ICa were observed in response to ISO. 1. Rat or guinea pig isolated tracheae were labelled with [3H]-choline to measure evoked tritium outflow, which reflects neuronal release of [3H]-acetylcholine. The outflow of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) from isolated tracheae of newborn rabbits was determined by high pressure liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection. This 5-HT outflow reflects release from neuroendocrine epithelial cells of the airway mucosa, as previously shown. Phenylephrine, via alpha2B-adrenoceptors, caused a transient increase in 5-HT outflow, maximally by about 250%, an effect mediated by liberation of intracellular Ca2+, as previously shown. The present study aims to analyze the psychometric properties of the revised version of the Adolescent Cyber-Aggressor scale (CYB-AGS). This scale is composed of 18 items that measure direct and indirect cyberbullying. A cross-sectional study was conducted using two independent samples of adolescents. The first sample included 1318 adolescents (52.6% girls) from 12 to 16 years old (M = 13.89, SD = 1.32). The second sample included 1188 adolescents (48.5% boys) from 12 to 16 years old (M = 14.19, SD = 1.80).
