On coincidence of feedback and global Stackelberg equilibria in a class of differential games

This paper shows for a class of differential games that the global Stackelberg equilibrium (GSE) coincides with the feedback Stackelberg equilibrium (FSE), although the GSE assumes that the leader/regulator an- nounces at the initial time the regulatory instrument rule she will follow for the rest of the game, while in the FSE, the regulator at any time chooses the optimal level of the regulatory instrument rate. Efficient anomaly detection on sampled data streams with contaminated phase I data

International audience; Control chart algorithms aim to monitor a process over time. This process consists of two phases. Phase I, also called the learning phase, estimates the normal process parameters, then in Phase II, anomalies are detected. However, the learning phase itself can contain contaminated data such as outliers. If left undetected, they can jeopardize the accuracy of the whole chart by affecting the computed parameters, which leads to faulty classifications and defective data analysis results. Computing Euclidean Steiner trees over segments

In the classical Euclidean Steiner minimum tree (SMT) problem, we are given a set of points in the Euclidean plane and we are supposed to find the minimum length tree that connects all these points, allowing the addition of arbitrary additional points. We investigate the variant of the problem where the input is a set of line segments. We allow these segments to have length 0, i.e., they are points and hence we generalize the classical problem. AbstractIn this study, we characterized the dynamics and analyzed the degree of synchronization of the time series of daily closing prices and volumes in US$ of three cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin, over the period September 1,2015–March 31, 2020. Time series were first mapped into a complex network by the horizontal visibility algorithm in order to revel the structure of their temporal characters and dynamics. Incorporating stand level risk management options into forest decision support systems

Aim of study:  To examine methods of incorporating risk and uncertainty to stand level forest decisions. Area of study: A case study examines a small forest holding from Jonkoping, Sweden. Material and methods: We incorporate empirically estimated uncertainty into the simulation through a Monte Carlo approach when simulating the forest stands for the next 100 years. From fuzzy metric spaces to modular metric spaces: a fixed point approach

We propose an intuitive theorem which uses some concepts of auxiliary functions for establishing existence and uniqueness of the fixed point of a self-mapping. First we work in the setting of fuzzy metric spaces in the sense of George and Veeramani, then we deduce some consequences in modular metric spaces. Finally, a sample homotopy result is derived making use of the main theorem.
