Despite the great tradition and importance of the doubles game in professional tennis, no literature has analysed to date the performance of professional players. Therefore, the information on the characteristics of the game, or the tactics related to how the points are won in doubles play is scarce. The objective of this study has been to describe the basic characteristics of the structure of the doubles game, and to establish how the points finish in doubles professional tennis played on hard courts. El Position on Nursing Diagnosis (PND) es una escala que utiliza la técnica del diferencial semántico para medir las actitudes hacia el concepto diagnóstico enfermero. El estudio objetivó desarrollar una forma abreviada de la versión española de esta escala, evaluar sus propiedades psicométricas y eficiencia. Modeling of Melt Flow and Heat Transfer in Stationary Gas Tungsten Arc Welding with Vertical and Tilted Torches

A 3D numerical simulation was conducted to study the transient development of temperature distribution in stationary gas tungsten arc welding with filler wire. Heat transfer to the filler wire and the workpiece was investigated with vertical (90°) and titled (70°) torches. Heat flux, current flux, and gas drag force were calculated from the steady-state simulation of the arc. The temperature in the filler wire was determined at three different time intervals: 0.12 s, 0.24 s, and 0.36 s. The filler wire was assumed not to deform during this short time, and was therefore simulated as solid. The onset of convection in an inclined porous layer which is heated internally by a uniform distribution of heat sources is considered. We investigate the combined effects of inclination, anisotropy and internal heat generation on the linear instability of the basic parallel flow. When the Rayleigh number is sufficiently large, instability occurs and a convective motion is set up. Objective: to evaluate the relation and the moderating effect of the organizational factors on the attitudes towards communication, empathy, and emotional intelligence in the nurses. Method: a cross-sectional study was conducted with a convenience sample of 268 nurses from Valencia, Spain. The attitudes towards communication were evaluated by means of the specifically designed instrument, those towards empathy with the Jefferson’s Scale of Empathy for Nursing Students, and those towards emotional intelligence by means of the Trait Meta-Mood Scale, consisting of 24 items. El artículo se inserta en la nueva historiografía que se ha interesado por la religiosidad de los curas insurgentes y resalta la motivación cristiana del padre Cos, quien se había volcado hacia la praxis política de la independencia de México motivado en primera instancia por su fe cristiana. El autor propone una lectura de la obra de Cecilia Bohl de Faber (Fernan Caballero) en relacion con su contexto politico y literario. Su obra debe vincularse con el mito romantico de Espana, que excluia al pais de la «modernidad» europea y que cultivaba la idea de la supuesta inmoralidad de las espanolas. En respuesta a este mito, Fernan Caballero ofrecio la imagen de un pueblo andaluz franco, sencillo y amante del orden, y la de una mujer hispana virtuosa y profundamente religiosa.
