Pro gradu -työni on toimeksiantona tehty AIESEC Jyväskylän 40-vuotishistoria. Järjestön historiaa tarkastellaan arkistolähteiden ja alumnien haastattelujen pohjalta. AIESEC perustettiin 1948 rauhanaatteen pohjalle luomaan ymmärrystä kulttuurien välille kansainvälisen harjoitteluvaihdon avulla. AIESEC Jyväskylä perustettiin 1969 osaksi Jyväskylän yliopiston taloustieteiden ainejärjestöä Pörssi ry:tä, ja sen toiminta oli suunnattu taloustieteilijöille. Radical sex role ideology and the Finnish gender role movement in the late 1960s

An active discussion of gender roles and the need to renegotiate them took place in the late 1960s in Finland. While previous studies have associated this ‘sex role debate’ with the independent civic organisation Association 9, this article focuses on the wider gender role movement. The article analyses the interplay and differences among the Finnish Women’s Democratic League, the Committee for Women’s Status, and Association 9’s grassroots activism between 1965 and 1970. Monitoring and prediction in early warning systems for rapid mass movements

Rapid mass movements (RMM) pose a substantial risk to people and infrastructure. Reliable and cost-efficient measures have to be taken to reduce this risk. One of these measures includes establishing and advancing the state of practice in the application of early warning systems (EWSs). EWSs have been developed during the past decades and are rapidly increasing. In this paper, we focus on the technical part of EWSs, i.e., the prediction and timely recognition of imminent hazards, as well as on monitoring slopes at risk and released mass movements. "Päihdyttävien juomien valmistamisesta ja käyttämisestä" : alkoholirikokset ja niiden kontrollointi Mikkelin seudulla 1895-1905

Pro gradu-tutkielmassa kartoitetaan, millaisia alkoholirikoksia Mikkelin seudulla tehtiin ja miksi, kuten myös miten näitä rikoksia kontrolloitiin ja valvottiin vuosina 1895–1905. Tarkemmiksi tutkimuskohteiksi on rajattu kolme eniten oikeuksissa näkynyttä rikosta: viinan salapolttaminen, laiton myyminen sekä juopuminen julkisella alueella. Pääasiallisina lähteinä tutkimuksessa on käytetty rikoshistoriassa keskeisiä oikeusistuinten pöytäkirjoja sekä näiden tukena aikalaissanomalehtiä. Edellä mainituista kolmesta rikoksesta oli tutkimusajanjakson aikana syytettynä yhteensä 338 henkilöä. Suurin osa syytetyistä oli miehiä.
