Oral Propranolol for Circumscribed Choroidal Hemangioma

Introduction: Several therapeutic approaches have been developed to treat choroidal hemangioma. However, all these therapies are associated with a potential risk of damaging the overlying retina. Case Report: We report a case of circumscribed choroidal hemangioma (CCH) in a 59-year-old man refractory to laser treatment. Visual acuity was 20/200 and a serous macular detachment was present. The CCH was treated with oral propanolol, whereupon visual acuity improved to 20/20 and the macular detachment resolved without systemic or local adverse effects. Artiflex Toric Phakic Intraocular Lens Implantation in Congenital Nystagmus

Case: A 44-year-old woman with congenital nystagmus and myopic astigmatism in both eyes who was submitted to phakic intraocular lens (pIOL) implantation. Methods: Full ophthalmologic examination including refractive status, corrected (CDVA) and uncorrected (UCVA) monocular and binocular visual acuities, ocular motility, slit-lamp evaluation, tonometry and fundoscopy before and after implantation of toric pIOLs (Artiflex; Ophtec BV, The Netherlands) in both eyes. Sono il Documento di al–Azhar (2013) e la Dichiarazione di Alessandria (2014), concordi nel ribadire il valore delle donne e i diritti garantiti loro dalla shari‘a. L’uno e l’altra hanno visto il coinvolgimento delle femministe islamiche.
