Don't Think That Kids Aren't Noticing: Indirect Pathways to Children's Fear of COVID-19

The present study is couched within Rachman's three-pathway theory of fear acquisition (Rachman, 1977, 1991). Besides the direct contact with the objects of fear, this model also includes two indirect pathways to fear acquisition: negative information transmission and modeling. The study aims to explore the contribution of these three factors to the level of children's fear of COVID-19. The sample consisted of 376 children (59.6% girls), aged 7–19 (Mage = 12.77, SDage = 3.57), and one of their parents (Mage = 42.88, SDage = 6.00). Sociology has constructed a male worldview that entails a biased interpretation of social reality. For its part, the traditional economy has made invisible the dependence of the commercial sphere of the domestic sphere. And in the field of political science, we also find many gender biases in basic concepts such as justice, equality or citizenship. This article, based on the work done by the authors in the Guia per a una docència universitària amb perspectiva de gènere de Sociologia, Economia i Ciència Política, offers some proposals, teaching resources and consultation tools to introduce the gender perspective in teaching, knowledge transfer and research in these disciplines.
Sexualitat en persones grans: Claus per entendre la satisfacció sexual i el seu vincle amb la salut sexual

La satisfacció sexual s?ha convertit en una qüestió important dintre dels estudis sobre sexualitats, dels que sistemàticament les persones grans queden excloses al reduir la seua sexualitat a aspectes relacionats amb la mala salut. En aquest estudi s?analitza la satisfacció sexual amb la parella d?aquest grup de població a través de la Encuesta Nacional de Salud Sexual, prenent com a base el model biopsicosocial de la sexualitat (DeLamater, 2002) i considerant el gènere i diferents grups d?edat. Els resultats indiquen el caràcter multifactorial de la satisfacció sexual, prioritzant elements de natura relacional, social i cultural per sobre de l?estat de salut.

This article proposes a study of the traditions in defensive architecture that concurred in the projects designed by Spanish military engineers for the fortification of the Valencian frontier in 1648 and 1649, in the context of the War of Catalonia (1640-1652). For this it is essential to follow the route of the Valencian adaptations to the military revolution in the matter of fortifications throughout the sixteenth century and compare them with those brought to Valencia in 1641 by the Marquis of Leganes and his engineers from the school of Milan.
