Abstract Study aim: While there is wide debate around specialization in one sport, there is a lack of information about fitness levels and motor competence of children participating in single or multiple sports. Material and methods: The study involved 358 fifth-grade children who participated in a set of health-related fitness and motor competence tests over two consecutive years. A subsample of children (n = 109) wore an accelerometer for seven consecutive days. Abstract Objectives The purpose of this study was two-fold. Firstly, to examine the measurement/factorial validity and invariance of the Referee Self-Efficacy Scale (REFS) among Norwegian soccer referees. Secondly, extending scale validation, we also tested a structural model in which a second-order version of the REFS was modelled to mediate a set of theoretically informed antecedents and outcomes. Critical Power (CP) and W’ are often determined using multi-day testing protocols. To investigate this cumbersome testing method, the purpose of this study was to compare the differences between the conventional use of a 24-h inter-trial recovery time with those of 3 h and 30 min for the determination of CP and W’. SARS-CoV-2 envelope protein topology in eukaryotic membranes

Coronavirus E protein is a small membrane protein found in the virus envelope. Different coronavirus E proteins share striking biochemical and functional similarities, but sequence conservation is limited. In this report, we studied the E protein topology from the new SARS-CoV-2 virus both in microsomal membranes and in mammalian cells. Experimental data reveal that E protein is a single-spanning membrane protein with the N-terminus being translocated across the membrane, while the C-terminus is exposed to the cytoplasmic side (Nt lum /Ct cyt ). Artikkelissa dialogioppimista on tulkittu hoitotyön oppimisen ja opettamisen erilaisissa käytänteissä. Käsitys dialogista perustuu Bahtinin puheen teoriaan, jossa näkökulmien vastakkaisuutta pidetään dialogin syntymisen ehtona. Käsitys oppimisesta perustuu kontekstuaaliseen näkemykseen, jossa oppimisen kohteeksi rajataan arkitodellisuus ja sieltä nousevat ongelmat. Koska arjen ristiriitaiset käytänteet kiinnittyvät erilaisiin ajattelu- ja toimintamalleihin, puheesta on etsitty historiallisia ääniä, vakiintuneiksi muodostuneita hoitamisen ja oppimisen muotoja.
