SCOPO DEL LAVORO: Valutare retrospettivamente le caratteristiche di semeiotica neuroradiologica delle lesioni indotte in pazienti sottoposti a talamotomia unilaterale del nucleo Vim mediante l’utilizzo di un sistema trans-cranico ad ultrasuoni focalizzati guidati da RM (tcMRgFUS). MATERIALI E METODI: Cinquanta pazienti sono stati sottoposti a talamotomia mediante tcMRgFUS per tremore essenziale refrattario a terapia medica (n = 39) o per tremore in malattia di Parkinson (n = 11). Scopo Negli ultimi anni la terapia transcranica ad ultrasuoni focalizzati guidati da risonanza magnetica (tcMRgFUS) per il trattamento di disordini neurologici quali il tremore essenziale (ET) e il Parkinson tremorigeno (PD) è stata effettuata utilizzando esclusivamente scanner RM da 3T. Presentiamo i risultati ottenuti con il primo sistema tcMRgFUS mai integrato con uno scanner RM da 1.5T. Materiali e metodi 23 pazienti (19 ET; 4 PD) sono stati selezionati per essere sottoposti a tcMRgFUS (talamotomia monolaterale; target: nucleo ventrale intermedio, VIM). Scopo La terapia dei disordini neurologici mediante tcMRgFUS è stata effettuata utilizzando esclusivamente scanner RM da 3T. Utilizzando uno scanner RM da 1.5T la qualità delle sequenze morfologiche utilizzabili per la pianificazione di questi trattamenti è risultata essere soddisfacente utilizzando la bobina body RF (quella utilizzata con scanner 3T). Tuttavia l'SNR delle sequenze utilizzate per la termometria RM è risultato inferiore allo standard accettabile per i trattamenti. È stata quindi sviluppata una bobina a 2 canali per assicurare un adeguato SNR. First and second order rational solutions to the Johnson equation and rogue waves

Rational solutions to the Johnson equation are constructed as a quotient of two polynomials in x, y and t depending on several real parameters. We obtain an infinite hierarchy of rational solutions written in terms of polynomials of degrees 2N (N + 1) in x, and t, 4N (N + 1) in y, depending on 2N − 2 real parameters for each positive integer N. We construct explicit expressions of the solutions in the cases N = 1 and N = 2 which are given in the following. We study the evolution of the solutions by constructing the patterns of their modulus in the (x, y) plane, and this for different values of parameters.
