1900-luvun aikana eurooppalaisen taiteen ja magian tutkimus rajoittui pitkälti Warburginstituutin piirissä tapahtuneeseen 1400-1500-lukujen taiteen astrologiseen analyysiin. Viimeksi kuluneiden 25 vuoden aikana magian tutkimusperinne on kokenut merkittävän murroksen. Etenkin keskiajan oppineen magian muodoista on saatu paljon uutta tietoa. Photoluminescent Detection of Human T-Lymphoblastic Cells by ZnO Nanorods.

The precise detection of cancer cells currently remains a global challenge. One-dimensional (1D) semiconductor nanostructures (e.g., ZnO nanorods) have attracted attention due to their potential use in cancer biosensors. In the current study, it was demonstrated that the possibility of a photoluminescent detection of human leukemic T-cells by using a zinc oxide nanorods (ZnO NRs) platform. Monoclonal antibodies (MABs) anti-CD5 against a cluster of differentiation (CD) proteins on the pathologic cell surface have been used as a bioselective layer on the ZnO surface. Background: We examined effects of trait self‐control, constructs from social cognition theories, and intentions on health behaviours. Trait self‐control was expected to predict health behaviour indirectly through theory constructs and intentions. Trait self‐control was also predicted to moderate the intention–behaviour relationship. Methods: Proposed effects were tested in six datasets for ten health‐related behaviours from studies adopting prospective designs. Pyrolytic formation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from sesquiterpenes

Pyrolysis was carried out at 300, 400 and 500 °C, the products determined by GC–MS and then examined for similarities and differences using multivariate data analysis. Analysis showed that longifolene was most resistant and caryophyllene least resistant to pyrolysis with cedrene and valencene occupying intermediate positions.
