The cycloadducts3,5, and7, readily available from methoxy-substituted 3-vinylindoles1 and2, were dehydrogenated withDDQ to the coplanar [a]-anellated carbazoles4,6, and8. Compound4a, also characterized by X-ray structural analysis, shows significant cytotoxicity against K562 und RXF393 human tumor cell lines.

Biodiesel has become more attractive recently because of its environmental benefits and the fact that it is made from renewable resources. Biodiesel is a mixture of monoalkyl esters of long chain fatty acids derived from renewable feed stock like vegetable oils and animal fats, mainly made of fatty acid glycerides. It is produced by transesterification processes in which oil or fat are reacted with a monohydric alcohol in the presence of a catalyst. Bacteriocins are antimicrobial proteins produced by bacteria that inhibit with a bactericidal or bacteriostatic mode of action, the growth of other bacteria. Many lactic acid bacteria (LAB) produce a high diversity of different bacteriocins. Bacteriocinogenic LAB are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) and useful to control the frequent development of pathogens and spoilage microorganisms; for this reason they are commonly used as starter cultures in food fermentations. Las cajas de ahorros, que llevan más de 100 años desarrollando su gestión financiera, han desaparecido, por lo menos tal como venían desarrollando su actividad.
