This letter presents the experimental study of the multipactor threshold in a partially dielectric-loaded rectangular waveguide, whose results validate a multipactor model recently developed by the authors, which includes the charge distribution appearing on the dielectric surface during the multipactor discharge. This paper 1 presents a study of the multipactor 2 effect in a partially dielectric-loaded rectangular waveguide. 3 To obtain the simulations presented in this paper, a detailed 4 analysis of the dynamics of the electron inside this waveguide 5 has been performed, taking into account the radio frequency 6 electromagnetic fields propagating in the waveguide and the dc 7 electric field that appears because of the charging of the dielectric 8 layer. What determines the duration of a fiscal consolidation program?

This paper assesses the determinants of the length of fiscal consolidation using annual data for 17 industrial countries over the period 1978-2009. Relying on a narrative approach to identify fiscal consolidation episodes, we show that fiscal variables (such as the budget deficit and the level of public debt) and economic factors (such as the degree of openness, the inflation rate, the interest rate and per capita GDP) are crucial for the fiscal consolidation process. Additionally, we employ duration analysis over a set of consolidation spells and find that, as time goes by, the likelihood of a fiscal consolidation ending is higher. Pyrrolo[2,1-d][1,2,3,5]tetrazinones 10a-o, compounds that hold the deaza skeleton of the antitumor drug temozolomide, were prepared by reaction of 2-diazopyrroles 9 and isocyanates. Such a synthetic route represents, among those leading to azolotetrazinones reported so far, the only possible one since attempts to cyclize to the title ring system 2-amino-1-carbamoylpyrroles 11 or the mono substituted 2-triazenopyrrole 12 failed. ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis and Antineoplastic Activity of New 4-Diazopyrazole Derivatives.

Several new 4-diazopyrazole derivatives were synthesized by reaction of 1-(R-substituted)phenyl-3-methyl-5-benzamidopyrazoles with a sevenfold excess of nitrous acid in acetic media. The compounds were tested at 20 microM concentration for their antineoplastic activity in vitro against Raji (human Burkitt lymphoma), K562 (human chronic myelogenous leukemia) and U937 (human histiocytic lymphoma) cell lines. They showed a percent of growth inhibition in the range 23.4-100%.
