Multi-layer intrusion detection system with ExtraTrees feature selection, extreme learning machine ensemble, and softmax aggregation

Abstract Recent advances in intrusion detection systems based on machine learning have indeed outperformed other techniques, but struggle with detecting multiple classes of attacks with high accuracy. We propose a method that works in three stages. First, the ExtraTrees classifier is used to select relevant features for each type of attack individually for each (ELM). Then, an ensemble of ELMs is used to detect each type of attack separately. Finally, the results of all ELMs are combined using a softmax layer to refine the results and increase the accuracy further. This study adds insight regarding the occurrence and spread of SARS-CoV-2 Variants of Concern (VOCs) and Var-iants of Interest (VOIs) in Italy in October and November 2022, by testing urban wastewater collected through-out the country. A total of 332 wastewater samples were collected from 20 Italian Regions/Autonomous Provinces (APs) within the framework of national SARS-CoV-2 environmental surveillance. Of these, 164 were collected in the first week of October and 168 in the first week of November. Resumen: De entre la galeria de personajes interesantes que nos ofrece el convento dominicano de Santa Catalina virgen y martir de Barcelona en el siglo XVIII destaca fray Josep Mercader (profesion 1720-1779). Un apartado importante aunque «intimo» de su obra lo constituyen las once breves exhortaciones que entre los anos 1740-1745 dirigio a las monjas dominicas del monasterio barcelones de Montesion con ocasion de las ceremonias de recepcion y profesion. However, the traditional role of mpMRI was confined to prostate cancer staging.
