The geometric calibration of projectors is a demanding task, particularly for the industry of virtual reality simulators. Different methods have been developed during the last decades to retrieve the intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of projectors, most of them being based on planar homographies and some requiring an extended calibration process. Se analiza el registro del género Parabailiella Thoral, 1946 en el Cámbrico medio de las Cadenas Ibéricas, al tiempo que se identifican y describen por primera vez en la región las cuatro especies que previamente se habían incluido en este género. La mayoría de las especies se encuentran registradas en varias secciones y las cuatro se han identificado en la sección Jarque 1. La distribución bioestratigráfica del género abarca desde el Leoniense medio hasta la base del Caesaraugustiense superior, lo que equivale en la escala propuesta por la International Subcommission on Cambrian Stratigraphy (ISCS) a la mayor parte del Piso 5 del Cámbrico y a la parte inferior del Piso Drumiense. Se pretende llamar la atención sobre un par de frases que aparecen justo hacia la mitad de la controvertida doxografía de Aristóteles que se puede leer en las Vidas y doctrinas de los filósofos más ilustres de Diógenes Laercio V 31, y que desde luego no corresponden a ningún sistema doxográfico conocido. AbstractAdvising and mentoring Ph.D. students is an increasingly important aspect of the academic profession. We define and interpret a family of metrics (collectively referred to as “a-indices”) that can potentially be applied to “ranking academic advisors” using the academic genealogical records of scientists, with the emphasis on taking into account not only the number of students advised by an individual, but also subsequent academic advising records of those students. Taphonomic studies dealing with small mammals do not usually consider bats. Therefore, the degree to which bat bones are modi? ed by predation and other taphonomic agents are largely unknown. Here we present the results obtained from a set of experiments developed to approach this issue, focusing initially on the e?ect of digestion. For this purpose several bat bones and teeth were exposed to HCl and to two di?erent proteolithic enzymes. The experiments showed that bat bones are altered by acidic and enzymatic attack in a similar way as the bones of other small mammals. Interactive geovisualization portals, set up on the Internet after the iconic Google Maps, are highly regarded by the public. They provide the ability to see from above the surface of our planet, and more specifically the French territory in the case of Geoportail. Yet it is forbidden to approach too close to certain objects: on national territory, some 150 sites are in fact hidden by the IGN. This paper question the relevance and efficiency of this operation imposed on the main body of production and dissemination of spatial information in France, in comparison with the means used by other countries.
