Fake news has been defined as fabricated information mimicking media content in form but not in organizational process or intent. Science and medicine are deeply affected by this increasing phenomenon. Critical care represents a hot spot for fake news due to the high risk of conflictive communication, the rapid turnaround of clinical news and high prevalence of unpleasant information. Finite element approximation for a div-rot system with mixed boundary conditions in non-smooth plane domains

The authors examine a finite element method for the numerical approximation of the solution to a div-rot system with mixed boundary conditions in bounded plane domains with piecewise smooth boundary. The solvability of the system both in an infinite and finite dimensional formulation is proved. Piecewise linear element fields with pointwise boundary conditions are used and their approximation properties are studied. Non-structural measures for flood risk mitigation are often more economically accessible, easier to implement, and are highly effective, especially in view of the pursuit of risk resilience objectives. Among the non-structural measures, more importance is increasingly being attributed to flood proofing interventions. There are two main types of flood proofing: dry proofing and wet proofing. The FLO Diffusive 1D-2D Model for Simulation of River Flooding

An integrated 1D-2D model for the solution of the diffusive approximation of the shallow water equations, named FLO, is proposed in the present paper. Governing equations are solved using the MArching in Space and Time (MAST) approach. The 2D floodplain domain is discretized using a triangular mesh, and standard river sections are used for modeling 1D flow inside the section width occurring with low or standard discharges. 1D elements, inside the 1D domain, are quadrilaterals bounded by the trace of two consecutive sections and by the sides connecting their extreme points. Il saggio espone i metodi e gli strumenti di ricerca utilizzati per la ricostruzione del catalogo della pioneristica Mostra D’Arte Sacra delle Madonie curata da Maria Accascina ed allestita nel 1937 presso il Convento dei PP. Riformati di Petralia Sottana, centro delle alte Madonie. Si tratta di più di quattrocento opere, tra gioielli, suppellettili liturgiche, oggetti preziosi di uso profano, coralli, paramenti sacri, tessuti, statue lignee, intagli, maioliche, tappeti, tele e tavole dipinte realizzate dal XI al XIX secolo.
