Riflessi dell'etnomusicologia in Sicilia: la "Due canzoni natalizie etnee trascritte dalla memoria per 11 strumenti" (1982-83) di Francesco Pennisi

The text starts from some reflections on ethnomusicological research in Sicily and on the relationship between cultured composers and music of oral tradition. In particular, the genesis and compositional structure of the "Two Etna Christmas Songs transcribed from memory" of 1982-83 is reconstructed.
