Stochastic dynamics and mean field approach in a system of three interacting species

The spatio-temporal dynamics of three interacting species, two preys and one predator, in the presence of two different kinds of noise sources is studied. To describe the spatial distributions of the species we use a model based on Lotka-Volterra equations. A correlated dichotomous noise acts on \beta, the interaction parameter between the two preys, and a multiplicative white noise affects directly the dynamics of each one of the three species. In 2012, almost 4,500 people died in the United States while waiting for kidney transplants. In 2013, 4,100 died in the European Union while officially placed on waiting lists. To solve this problem, there are essentially two ethi-cally acceptable solutions; but both have, in their current state, disadvantages. The first solution would be having financial incentives for living organ transfer. The second one would be adopting a model, like the Spanish or Cro-atian ones, which we can denominate as the «imperfect altruistic» model. Astrophysical shocks at all scales, from those in the heliosphere up to the cosmological shock waves, are typically "collisionless", because the thickness of their jump region is much shorter than the collisional mean free path. Across these jumps, electrons, protons, and ions are expected to be heated at different temperatures. We investigate the role played by a pre-supernova (SN) ambient magnetic field on the dynamics of the expanding remnant of SN 1987A and the origin and evolution of the radio emission from the remnant, in particular, during the interaction of the blast wave with the nebula surrounding the SN. Methods. We model the evolution of SN 1987A from the breakout of the shock wave at the stellar surface to the expansion of its remnant through the surrounding nebula by 3D MHD simulations.
