Interpersonal dynamics in 2-vs-1 contexts of football: the effects of field location and player roles

This study analyzed the spatial-temporal interactions that sustained 2-vs-1 contexts in football at different field locations near the goal. Fifteen male players (under 15 years, age 13.2 ± 1.03 years, years of practice 4.2 ± 1.10 years), 5 defenders, 7 midfielders, and 3 attackers, participated in the study. Each participant performed a game to simulate a 2-vs-1 sub-phase as a ball carrier, second attacker, and defender at three different field locations, resulting in a total number of 142 trials. El objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar las diferencias entre chicos y chicas adolescentes en conductas violentas dirigidas hacia sus iguales, y en algunas variables explicativas de estas conductas como sus actitudes hacia la autoridad y las normas, la comunicación con sus padres y la calidad de la relación con sus profesores. L2-L1 Translation Priming Effects in a Lexical Decision Task: Evidence From Low Proficient Korean-English Bilinguals

One of the key issues in bilingual lexical representation is whether L1 processing is facilitated by L2 words. In this study, we conducted two experiments using the masked priming paradigm to examine how L2-L1 translation priming effects emerge when unbalanced, low proficiency, Korean-English bilinguals performed a lexical decision task. In Experiment 1, we used a 150 ms SOA (50 ms prime duration followed by a blank interval of 100 ms) and found a significant L2-L1 translation priming effect. Tratamiento cognitivo-conductual de la adicción a videojuegos de rol online: fundamentos de propuesta de tratamiento y estudio de caso

Resumen: El proposito de este trabajo es presentar una propuesta de tratamiento cognitivo-conductual para la intervencion en la adiccion a videojuegos. Se presenta el caso de un varon de 21 anos con problemas con el uso de los videojuegos. Se expone el procedimiento en cada una de las fases de las que consta el tratamiento, asi como los resultados de su eficacia en un estudio de caso. Despues de trece semanas de intervencion se aprecian importantes cambios en el nivel de dependencia. Los resultados muestran una disminucion significativa del tiempo de uso del ordenador y de juego, asi como una mejoria del funcionamiento personal y social del paciente. At the Roots of Product Placement: The Mere Exposure Effect

The present study aims to analyze the effect of product placement on attitude change and takes into consideration psychological models of the mere exposure effect. A sample of high school students watched an excerpt from two widely-distributed movies in which several products were shown by using the technique known as product placement. The results indicate that students who saw the commercial brand liked the products more than those who didn’t see it. This effect, in line with the literature on the product placement effect, seems to be independent from the recognition of the brand in the movie excerpt. Music, emotion, and time perception: the influence of subjective emotional valence and arousal?

The present study used a temporal bisection task with short (< 2 s) and long (> 2 s) stimulus durations to investigate the effect on time estimation of several musical parameters associated with emotional changes in affective valence and arousal. In order to manipulate the positive and negative valence of music, Experiments 1 and 2 contrasted the effect of musical structure with pieces played normally and backwards, which were judged to be pleasant and unpleasant, respectively.
