Aspects regarding the existence of fixed points of the iterates of Stancu operators

In the papers Iterates of Stancu Operators, via Contraction Principle (2002), respectively Iterates of Bernstein Operators, via Contraction Principle (2004), author I. A. Rus studied the existence of fixed points for Stancu operators Pn,α,β and Bernstein operators Bn. The aim of this paper is to find conditions for which the Stancu operators Pn,α,β are contractions on the graph, in order to demonstrate that the contraction principle can be applied for the study of the existence of fixed points for iterates of Stancu operators. L’objet de cette étude est de mesurer la discrimination à l’embauche à l’encontre des jeunes en Ile-de-France en raison du lieu de résidence en considérant plusieurs échelles spatiales de façon à distinguer l’effet de la réputation du département (Paris et la Seine-Saint-Denis), celui de la localité et celui du quartier. L’évaluation est réalisée sur données expérimentales auto-construites de testing selon un protocole permettant d’examiner les effets propres à chacune de ces trois échelles sur l’accès à l’emploi ainsi que leurs effets cumulés. The dissertation is concerned with the speeches of Vihtori Kosola (1884–1936), recruiter of jäger, strike breaker and activist. Kosola assumed the leadership of the Lapua Movement in 1929. His most significant speeches were delivered on the peasants’ march of 7 July 1930 and on the 15th anniversary of the war of independence on 16 May 1933. Kosola was a political speaker and the figurehead of the Patriotic people’s movement (IKL) founded in 1932. The Study focuses on Kosola’s speeches applying rhetorical-semantic concept analysis with regard to the changes occurring in the main concepts. D3 Dihedral Logistic Map of Fractional Order

In this paper, the D3 dihedral logistic map of fractional order is introduced. The map presents a dihedral symmetry D3. It is numerically shown that the construction and interpretation of the bifurcation diagram versus the fractional order requires special attention. The system stability is determined and the problem of hidden attractors is analyzed. Furthermore, analytical and numerical results show that the chaotic attractor of integer order, with D3 symmetries, looses its symmetry in the fractional-order variant.

Tutkielmassa tarkastelen, miten suomalainen kansallinen sotakertomus rakentuu, miten sitä ylläpidetään ja keiden toimesta. Lähtökohtainen näkemykseni on, että Suomen sota-aikoihin 1939−1944 liittyvä sotakertomus on konstruktiivinen tulkinta menneisyydestä, ja sen rakentumiseen vaikuttavat kollektiiviset ja yhteisölliset elementit, kuten kollektiivinen ja sosiaalinen muisti, yhteiskunta ja kulttuuri. Tutkielmani teoreettiset lähtökohdat ovat kollektiivisen muistin käsitteistössä, jota tarkastelen kiinnittäen huomiota kollektiivisen, sosiaalisen ja yksilöllisen muistin sisäkkäisyyksiin. Tämän tutkimuksen päätavoitteena on selvittää, millainen oli 1920-1930 -luvun suomalaisen nuortenkirjallisuuden luoma kuva ”hyvän” elämän rajoista, elämisen mahdollisuuksista ja mahdottomuuksista, miten kaunokirjallisuuden merkittävänä välittäjänä ja kirjallisen kasvatuksen auktoriteettina toimiva kirjastolaitos suhtautui ja pyrki vaikuttamaan tuohon kuvaan ja lopulta, onnistuiko kirjastolaitos lainaustilastojen perusteella ohjaamaan nuoret lukijat esimerkillisten kertomusten ääreen. FL Mauri Kinnunen tutki niitä erityispiirteitä, joita lestadiolaisessa herätysliikkeessä ilmeni sen toimiessa itäisen ja läntisen kulttuurin rajalla Karjalassa. The purpose of this study is to seek special features in the Laestadian conviction when it functioned on the boundary of Eastern and Western cultures in Karelia. The contacts of Laestadianism in Karelia began in the end of the 1860s and beginning of 1870s. The mediators of the movement were mid-Osthrobothnian building workers and fisher-men. Cognitive predictors of counting skills

Rote counting skills have found to be a strong predictor of later arithmetic and reading fluency. However, knowledge of the underlying cognitive factors influencing counting skill is very limited. Present study examined to what extent language skills (phonology, vocabulary, and morphology), nonverbal reasoning skills, and memory at the age of five could explain counting skill at the beginning of first grade. Gender, parents’ education level and child’s persistence were included as control variables. The question was examined in a longitudinal sample (N = 101) with a structural equation model.
