Muscle architecture is an important component of muscle function, and recent studies have shown changes in muscle architecture with fatigue. The stretch-shortening cycle is a natural way to study human locomotion, but little is known about how muscle architecture is affected by this type of exercise. This study investigated potential changes in medial gastrocnemius (MG) muscle architecture after exhaustive stretch-shortening cycle exercise. Objective: In two independent study arms, we determine the effects of strength training (ST) and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) overload on cardiac autonomic modulation by measuring heart rate (HR) and vagal heart rate variability (HRV).Methods: In the study, 37 well-trained athletes (ST: 7 female, 12 male; HIIT: 9 female, 9 male) were subjected to orthostatic tests (HR and HRV recordings) each day during a 4-day baseline period, a 6-day overload microcycle, and a 4-day recovery period. After the patrimonial destruction that took place during the Civil War of 1936-1939 in the city of Cartagena, religious art and especially sacred sculpture, is greatly affected. The artistic expressions that the Passionist entities took to the streets on the days of Holy Week, disappear almost in their entirety, having to start a tremendously costly reconstruction process in order to alleviate the losses suffered. We report on the restoration of a XVII century’s predella reliquary, which is a part of a larger setup that includes a wall reliquary and a wooden crucified Christ, both belonging to the church of “Madre Maria SS. Assunta”, in Polizzi Generosa, Sicily, Italy. The historical/artistic and paleographic research was flanked successfully by the scientific objective characterization of the materials. The scientific approach was relevant in the definition of the steps for the restoration of the artefact. The optical microscopy was used for the identification of the wood species. Pro gradu -tutkielma tarkastelee seksuaalivähemmistöistä käytyä lehtikeskustelua homoseksuaalisuuden dekriminalisoinnin aikaan vuosina 1970–1971 sekä homoseksuaalisuuden sairausluokituksen poistamisen aikaan vuosina 1979–1981. Olen sijoittanut tutkimukseni seksuaalivähemmistöjen historian kannalta keskeisiin ajanjaksoihin. Homoseksuaalisuus dekriminalisoitiin Suomessa vuonna 1971 ja homoseksuaalisuuden sairausluokitus poistettiin Suomessa vuonna 1981.
