[EN] The paper is a continuation of our study on developing a new approach to (lattice-valued) topological structures, which relies on category theory and universal algebra, and which is called categorically-algebraic (catalg) topology. Injection of an electron from the excited dye molecule to the semiconductor is the initial charge separation step in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSC's). Though the dynamics of the forward injection process has been widely studied, the results reported so far are controversial, especially for complete DSC's. In this work, the electron injection in titanium dioxide (TiO2) films sensitized with ruthenium bipyridyl dyes N3 and N719 was studied both in neat solvent and in a typical iodide/triiodide (I-/I3 -) DSC electrolyte. We prove fixed point theorems for F-contractions of Hardy–Rogers type involving self-mappings defined on metric spaces and ordered metric spaces. An example and an application to multistage decision processes are given to show the usability of the obtained theorems.
Power efficiency improvements with the radio frequency H− ion source

CW 13.56 MHz radio frequency-driven H(-) ion source is under development at the University of Jyväskylä for replacing an existing filament-driven ion source at the MCC30/15 cyclotron. Previously, production of 1 mA H(-) beam, which is the target intensity of the ion source, has been reported at 3 kW of RF power. The original ion source front plate with an adjustable electromagnet based filter field has been replaced with a new front plate with permanent magnet filter field. The experimental and theoretical research carried out at the Institute of Applied Physics resulted in development of a new type of electron cyclotron resonance ion sources (ECRISs)—the gasdynamic ECRIS. The gasdynamic ECRIS features a confinement mechanism in a magnetic trap that is different from Geller’s ECRIS confinement, i.e., the quasi-gasdynamic one similar to that in fusion mirror traps. Experimental studies of gasdynamic ECRIS were performed at Simple Mirror Ion Source (SMIS) 37 facility. The plasma was created by 37.5 and 75 GHz gyrotron radiation with power up to 100 kW. Lithium fluoride is an interesting material because of its low refractive index and large band gap. Previously LiF thin films have been deposited mostly by physical methods. In this study a new way of depositing thin films of LiF using atomic layer deposition (ALD) is presented. Mg(thd)2, TiF4 and Lithd were used as precursors, and they produced crystalline LiF at a temperature range of 300–350 °C. It was shown recently that cyclotron instability in non-equilibrium plasma of a minimum-B electron cyclotron resonance ion source (ECRIS) causes perturbation of the extracted ion current and generation of strong bursts of bremsstrahlung emission, which limit the performance of the ion source. The present work is devoted to the dynamic regimes of plasma instability in ECRIS operated in pulsed mode. Oxidovanadium(V) amine bisphenolates as epoxidation, sulfoxidation and catechol oxidation catalysts

Air-stable oxidovanadium(V) complexes with tetradentate amine bisphenolate ligands were made by the reaction of VOSO4·xH2O and ligand precursors in MeOH solutions. Isolated compounds were studied as catechol oxidase models as well as catalysts for epoxidation and sulfoxidation reactions. All compounds can catalyse such oxidation reactions without notable structure-activity correlations. Clastic-biogenic varves are widely used for reconstructing past climate: in boreal environments, the accumulation of minerogenic clasts on the lake floor is generally considered a proxy for past variations in spring floods reflecting previous winter conditions. However, the physical mechanisms behind this winter climate sensitivity and the influence of catchment type on the varve formation are not fully investigated.
