La globalización e internacionalización de los mercados, así como el aumento de la competencia arrastran a las organizaciones a plantearse cambiar sus estrategias de negocios. En este sentido, el presente estudio tiene por objeto mejorar el sistema de costes y gestión en una Autoridad Portuaria, mediante la implantación de un sistema de costes y gestión basado en las actividades (ABC/ABM). Con ello, se pretende dar respuesta a la necesidad que tenía esta entidad de adaptar su sistema de información interna a estas nuevas exigencias del mercado obteniendo, por consiguiente, una información de mayor calidad para lograr una gestión estratégica de sus costes.
Towards an Agent-Based Model for the Analysis of Macroeconomic Signals

This work introduces an agent-based model for the analysis of macroeconomic signals. The Bottom-up Adaptive Model (BAM) deploys a closed Walrasian economy where three types of agents (households, firms and banks) interact in three markets (goods, labor and credit) producing some signals of interest, e.g., unemployment rate, GDP, inflation, wealth distribution, etc. Agents are bounded rational, i.e., their behavior is defined in terms of simple rules finitely searching for the best salary, the best price, and the lowest interest rate in the corresponding markets, under incomplete information. Clinical Utility of Midregional Proadrenomedullin in Patients with COVID-19

Abstract Objective The aim of the study was to assess the role of midregional proadrenomedullin (MR-proADM) in patients with COVID-19. Methods We included 110 patients hospitalized for COVID-19. Biochemical biomarkers, including MR-proADM, were measured at admission. The association of plasma MR-proADM levels with COVID-19 severity, defined as a requirement for mechanical ventilation or in-hospital mortality, was evaluated. Results Patients showed increased levels of MR-proADM. Bei einer archäologischen Voruntersuchung wurden in einem Gräberbereich nördlich der antiken Stadt zwei Bestattungen in Särgen und zwei Grabstelen entdeckt. Trotz einer übereinstimmenden Datierung Ende des 1. bis Anfang 2. The aim of the paper is to describe the Activity-based Costing and Management methods applied in France. For that purpose, we use a literature review and a case study. In a first time, we analyse the origins of the methods and their diffusion. Then we present the French situation. Finally, we propose a case study that takes place in a French bank. Our paper shows that the ABC and ABM methods are as developed in France as in the Anglo-Saxon countries and that the methods are strategically oriented.
