Temperature- and Magnetic-Field-Dependent Longitudinal Spin Relaxation in Nitrogen-Vacancy Ensembles in Diamond

We present an experimental study of the longitudinal electron-spin relaxation time (T1) of negatively charged nitrogen-vacancy (NV) ensembles in diamond. T1 was studied as a function of temperature from 5 to 475 K and magnetic field from 0 to 630 G for several samples with various NV and nitrogen concentrations. Our studies reveal three processes responsible for T1 relaxation. Above room temperature, a two-phonon Raman process dominates, and below, we observe an Orbach-type process with an activation energy, 73(4) meV, which closely matches the local vibrational modes of the NV center. Structural fluctuations in glass-forming liquids: Mössbauer spectroscopy on iron in glycerol.

M\"ossbauer absorption spectra of $^{57}\mathrm{Fe}^{2+}$ dissolved in a glycerol-water mixture have been measured over a wide temperature range (80--275 K). In the supercooled liquid state the shapes of the spectra depend strongly on temperature. The M\"ossbauer spectra can be fit with jump diffusion with a Cole-Davidson distribution of fluctuation times. The results are in agreement with those obtained from dielectric and ultrasonic volume relaxations, proving that the \ensuremath{\alpha} relaxation of viscous liquids is responsible for the line broadening of the spectra. Advancing inverted (p���i���n) perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is key to further enhance the power conversion efficiency (PCE) and stability of flexible and perovskite-based tandem photovoltaics. Temperature Effect of Ionic Transition Metal Complex Light-Emitting Electrochemical Cells

ABSTRACTLight-Emitting Electrochemical Cells (LECs) consist of solution processable ionic light-emitting materials and use air stable electrodes. Their operational mechanism relies on both ionic and electronic conduction. The dynamic behavior is primarily determined by the ionic conductivity. Here, we demonstrate that with increasing temperature the LECs turn-on faster yet without decreasing the efficiency. This is due to the activation energy of ionic transport and the temperature independent photoluminescence quantum yields.
Dielectric investigation of sodium potassium niobate ceramic doped 7% of antimony

Abstract Electric properties of sodium potassium niobate ceramic doped antimony (Na0.5K0.5)(Nb0.93Sb0.07)O3 with sintering aid MnO2 (0.5 mol% MnO2) (KNNSbx + 0.5Mn) were investigated in a broad frequency (from 1 Hz to 54 GHz) and temperature (from 110 K to 800 K) ranges. The mean relaxation times calculated from the dielectric permittivity measurements fulfill Arrhenius relationship with dipole activation energy EA = 3409 K (EA/kB = 0.29 eV). The DC conductivity has been extracted from experimental results and the activation energy was calculated EA = 11733.78 K (EA/kB = 1.011 eV).
Dielectric relaxation and polaronic hopping in Mn-substituted LaSrNiO4 nickelates prepared by mechanical milling method

Abstract The structures, microstructures and dielectric properties of LaSrNi1−xMnxO4 (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.5) ceramics synthetized by mechanical milling followed by heat treatment were studied. One single tetragonal phase was revealed in all compounds. Structural parameters were obtained by Rietveld refinement. The substitution of Ni ions by Mn produces a variation of the lattice parameters but no phase change is observed. The surface morphology and elemental analysis of these samples were respectively investigated by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray technique (EDS). Background This study aimed to compare the smear layer removing efficacy of the EndoActivator, EndoVac and Er:YAG laser in extracted mandibular premolars, at the apical, middle and coronal third of root canal, through scanning electron microscopy. Dynamics of sorbitol and maltitol over a wide time-temperature range

The relaxation behaviour of two molecular glass-forming systems, namely sorbitol and maltitol, are investigated in the large temperature range relevant to the glass-transition. These data are obtained by combining three techniques, i.e. low-frequency mechanical spectroscopy, medium and high frequency dielectric spectroscopy, and viscosity measurements. This procedure allows to determine the relaxation map of these polyols on a wide time range [10-9-107 s]. Two different relaxation processes can be observed.
