Sysmä Community Currency: An Analysis of its Success from the Perspectives of Purposes, Stakeholders and Promotion

Artikkeli on tapaustutkimus paikallisrahajärjestelmästä, jota kokeiltiin äskettäin maalaisympäristössä Sysmän kunnassa. Paikallisraha on yksi innovaatiivisista aloitteista, joita kunta on tehnyt tällä vuosituhannella torjuakseen jo 1960-luvulta alkaen käynnissä ollutta väestökatoa. Tässä artikkelissa tutkitaan paikallisrahan käynnistysvaihetta siihen sisältyneiden ristiriitojen näkökulmasta. Artikkelissa todetaan, että järjestelmä kärsi epäselvästä tavoitteenasettelusta, ja että eri osallisilla oli tavoittesta vaihtelevia ja ristiriitaisia käsityksiä. Superdiversiteetti ja muuttoliikkeet

Väestöjen moninaistumista kuvaava käsite “superdiversiteetti” on viime vuosikymmenen ajan lisääntyvästi toiminut lähestymistapana muuttoliikkeiden tutkimuksessa. Superdiversiteetti on tarkoitettu viittaamaan eri tekijöiden vuorovaikutukseen, jolla on merkitystä niin yksilökuin yhteiskuntatasollakin. Käsite kyseenalaistaa perinteiset käsitykset niin “valtaväestöstä” kuin “maahanmuuttajaryhmistä”, ja johtaa uusiin tulkintoihin muun muassa maahanmuuton ja integroitumisen havainnollistamisessa. "Kunnian hallitsema karoliinien sotilaskulttuuri Ruotsin valtakunnassa 1680-1740" Lisensiaattityössäni tarkastelen suuren Pohjan sodan (1700-21)kokeneiden suomalaisten ja ruotsalaisten karoliinisotureiden maailmankuvaa ja sen vaikutusta heidän elämäänsä. Aikakauden ihmisistä erityisesti sotilaiden koko elämänkulku määrittyi vahvasti kunnian ja kunniallisuuden kautta. Ideaalien ja lähes universaalien soturihyveiden sävyttämä kunniakoodisto ja toisaalta karu sotilaan elämä muodostivat ristiriitaisen sotilaskulttuurin, jonka normien mukaisesti karoliinit elivät usein lyhyeksi jääneen elämänsä. Objectives: Because of the fluctuating and occasional character of Crohn’s disease (CD), patients have to cope with a changeable condition of health. Personal perceived control is known to be an important element of adaptation to their medical condition. The objectives of this work are to determine if perceived personal control is predictive of the clinical activity of the disease and of psychological distress (depression, anxiety). Aktywność ucznia ma ogromne znaczenie w kształtowaniu i rozwijaniu abstrakcyjnych pojęć matematycznych. Jednak aktywność ta nie powinna ograniczać się jedynie do aktywności zewnętrznej, często jedynie pozornej, ale przede wszystkim powinna być to aktywność umysłowa ucznia. Zachowania i postawy specyficzne dla aktywności matematycznej można bowiem rozwijać u ucznia jedynie w toku jego aktywności poznawczej (intelektualnej). W opracowaniu podjęto próbę ukazania możliwości stymulowania i rozwijania oraz przejawy aktywności matematycznej uczniów w wieku wczesnoszkolnym w trakcie rozwiązywania zadań.

The main goal of this paper is the examine the circumstances of the Kosovo battle in 1389. Fundamental difficulty in describing this battle results from the fact that there was no separate chronicler. Moreover, the description of the battle of Kosovo field is based only on fragmentary information transmitted by Serbian, Bosnian, Turkish or Byzantine chroniclers. The author of this article proposed a thesis that battle of Kosovo field contributed to development of both Ottoman and Serbian art of warfare. Workaholism and work engagement can be depicted, respectively, as the pathological and the healthy form of heavy work investment. In spite of their different definitions and outcomes on individual and organizational life, workaholism and work engagement are not clearly and adequately distinguished by scholars and researchers as they appear to show some overlapping features. Differential effects of workaholism and work engagement on the interference between life and work domains

This study analyzed the differences between workaholism and work engagement in relation to their influence on work–life interference. Workaholism is an addiction to work, characterized by obsessive attitude towards job, whereas work engagement concerns a positive pattern of thoughts and feelings about one’s job; these two constructs thus represent pathological and healthy forms of heavy work investment, respectively.
