Herbicidally Active Derivatives of Aminomethylenebis-Phosphonic Acid-Mode of Action and Structure - Activity Relationship
1996
Abstract: (N-pyridylamino)methylenebisphosphonates exhibit strong herbicidal activity which may be reversed by supplementation of the growth media with aromatic amino acids. They appeare to be the inhibitors of aromatic amino acids biosynthesis acting as inhibitors of DAHP synthase the first enzyme of shikimate pathway. Over 40 analogues of these acids were synthesized in order to determine the structure-activity relationship.
Multicriteria methods in evaluation of city logistics projects
2017
Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) methods are chosen among alternatives in order to attain specific objectives. In this research, the purpose of methodology is to provide decision methods for project managers in city logistics. The methodology is combined into two methods consisting of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). As the result, the criteria for selection are determined by expert opinions, and then assign the weight of criteria by AHP. Finally, TOPSIS method is used to evaluate alternatives which are found prioritized by weight for project , namely project C equal 0.537 , project A equal 0.438 , project B e…
Multicriteria decision making taxonomy of code recommendation system challenges: a fuzzy-AHP analysis
2022
AbstractThe recommendation systems plays an important role in today’s life as it assist in reliable selection of common utilities. The code recommendation system is being used by the code databases (GitHub, source frog etc.) aiming to recommend the more appropriate code to the users. There are several factors that could negatively impact the performance of code recommendation systems (CRS). This study aims to empirically explore the challenges that could have critical impact on the performance of the CRS. Using systematic literature review and questionnaire survey approaches, 19 challenges were identified. Secondly, the investigated challenges were further prioritized using fuzzy-AHP analys…

An Empirical Investigation of Green Product Design and Development Strategies for Eco Industries Using Kano Model and Fuzzy AHP
2022
Collaboration in green product design and development is becoming more significant to ensure a brighter future for eco industries, and research into such innovation has increased in recent years. So, it has been emphasized by practitioners that green thinking should be adopted from the design stage through the development stage and into the disposal stage of a product. However, it is challenging to identify the severity of strategies that mainly hampers the growth of green product design and development (GPDD). The current research aimed to identify and rank various strategies based on their significant impact on the development of green product design. The study contains three segments: (1…
Towards resilient cities: Advancements allowed by a multi-criteria optimization tool to face the new challenges of European Union’s climate and energ…
2019
Abstract The United Nations as well as the European Union are strongly committed in promoting a transition towards more sustainable and resilient cities. Indeed, they are increasingly affected by different types of threats, among which the natural ones such as earthquakes, fires, and floods (shocks) and climate variability (stresses). Cities are quite often unable to cope with the adverse effects of such natural hazards. This circumstance leads to the need of introducing resilience-related criteria (besides commonly used sustainability indicators) in decision-making processes. This paper investigates at which extent the inclusion of such new indicators, within multi-criteria assessment tool…
Evaluating Safety Systems for Machine Tools with Computer Numerical Control using Analytic Hierarchy Process
2019
Computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools are complex production systems with fully automatic machine parts. Nowadays, high feed rates and machining speeds are used during the machining process. Human operators are still needed to set-up the machine, load/unload workpieces and parts, load the machining code, and supervise the machining process. The operators work in an environment where automated high-speed motions occur, and consequently, CNC machine tools have to be equipped with safety systems. The approach presented in this paper was to evaluate the main safety systems of CNC machine tools based upon the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The analyzed systems were divided into six m…
A Multi-Criteria Group Decision To Support The Maintenance Service: A Case Study
2015
The present paper wants to propose a methodology to support a group of decision makers into the choice of actions, to implement on a multi-component system, regarding the maintenance service. The choice has to be made on the basis of several criteria, namely the total maintenance cost, the system unavailability and by considering the maintenance actions feasibility. In particular, with the aim to select the maintenance service that represents for the group the best comprise among the criteria to satisfy, the proposed methodology consists of two multi-criteria decisions methods to apply in two successive phases. The first one regards the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to…

The Circularity of MSW in Urban Landscapes: An Evaluation Method for a Sustainable System Implementation
2022
The debate on the sustainable perspective of a circular economy and MSW (Municipal Solid Waste) management is no longer focused on the resolution of an emergency and on the pure technicality of creating efficient services. New light has been shed on the operational phase, as often unresolvable technical-environmental issues during service management lead to a state of decay, affecting urban vulnerability and users’ involvement. The research aims to develop an auxiliary tool for public administrations in planning a zero-waste future whilst enhancing the urban landscape. This study considers the perspective of virtuous management of the resource flow cycle along with evaluating implementable …
