Journalistisen osaamisen soveltuminen viestinnän työtehtäviin

Tässä pro gradu -tutkielmassa selvitettiin, miten journalistinen osaaminen soveltuu viestinnän työtehtäviin. Tutkimusongelman taustalla oli journalistien siirtyminen viestinnän töihin muun muassa mediamaiseman murroksen seurauksena. Alanvaihto näkyi myös ammattijärjestöjen luvuissa; Journalistiliitossa jäsenmäärä oli laskenut, ProComissa ja Viesti ry:ssä puolestaan noussut. Tutkimuksen teoreettisena pohjana toimi Bourdieun kenttäteoria, jonka avulla pyrittiin ymmärtämään, mitä tapahtuu, kun journalistinen ja viestinnällinen kenttä risteävät. Heart rate variability (HRV) is a psychophysiological variable that is often used in applied analysis techniques to indicate health status because it provides a window into the intrinsic regulation of the autonomic nervous system. However, HRV data analysis methods are varied and complex, which has led to different approaches to data collection, analysis, and interpretation of results. Kansainvälisten opiskelijoiden määrä Suomessa on lisääntynyt nopeasti lyhyessä ajassa. Globaalien työelämän ja liikkuvuuden muutosten sekä opiskelijoiden määrällisen kasvun myötä joukko moninaistuu entisestään. Suomeen tullaan monenlaisin kieli-, kulttuuri- ja koulutustaustoin, eikä opiskelijan polku korkeakouluopintojen jälkeen ole kiveen hakattu: jäädä vai lähteä? Tässä artikkelissa tarkastellaan kansainvälisen opiskelijan käsitettä ja muutaman kansainvälisen opiskelijan ajatuksia opiskelusta ja tulevaisuudesta Suomessa. Applying Student Development Theories: Enhancing International Student Academic Success and Integration

Student development theories (SDT) focus on the growth and change occurring in students while attending higher education. In this article, we propose that the application of student development theories supports holistic development in international students and helps us understand international students’ academic success and integration. We outline a combination of student development models, derived from SDT, and interact them with concepts from international student mobility and migration (ISM). These models, when applied to student services, may assist higher education institutions (HEIs) in designing student services for international students enhancing academic success and integration.
