Field dependence of the vortex-core sizes in dirty two-band superconductors

We study the structure of Abrikosov vortices in two-band superconductors for different external magnetic fields and different parameters of the bands. The vortex core size determined by the coherence lengths are found to have qualitatively different behaviour from that determined by the quasiparticle density of states spatial variation. These different vortex core length scales coincide near the upper critical field, while the discrepancy between them becomes quite significant at lower fields. Within the diffusive approximation we demonstrate several generic regimes in the field dependence of the vortex core sizes determined by the disparity of diffusion constants in the two bands.

The knowledge, attitude, and practice toward the use of ready-to-eat vegetables were evaluated in a sample of 701 (388 women and 313 men) potential consumers in Palermo, by answering to an anonymous questionnaire handed out. Food safety perceptions and behaviors were analysed; in general, interviewed consumers who perceived higher risks exhibited safer food behaviors. There weren't considerable differences in the use of these salads between two sexes; 81.4% of respondents uses these products to save a lot of time, particularly the graduates attach importance to saving in time (p = 0.001), and only 34.4% is worrying about high price. The dairy platform of the STLO, Rennes, developed an innovative technology and more sustainable cheese making process (INRAE patent, From’Innov, WO2016108024). This technology consists of mixing a texture matrix obtained by ultrafiltration with one or more aromatic matrix. The latter is innovative: it allows obtaining a maximum of aroma in a short time, less than a few days. The principle is to grow each of microorganisms in an optimized middle with essential nutrients, optimal pH and temperature, and O2 if necessary. Muotoilun arvoa on mitattu yleensä lopputulosta ja ulkoisia hyötyjä arvioiden. Se, miten muotoilija itse määrittelee työnsä tavoitteet, on jäänyt vähäisemmälle huomiolle. Tässä tutkielmassa esitetään mittauskehikko muotoilijoiden omalle työlleen asettamien tavoitteiden mittaamista, kuvailua, vertailua ja toimialan kehityksen seurantaa varten. Antibioottiresistenttiys on kasvava ongelma, jonka selättämiseksi tarvitaan uusia keinoja. Prekliinisten tutkimustulosten perusteella bakteereja infektoivien virusten eli faagien on havaittu olevan hyvä vaihtoehto antibiooteille. Sairaalanäytteestä löydettyä metisilliinille resistenttiä Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) -kantaa vastaan eristetty bakteriofagi karakterisoitiin sekvensoimalla ja läpäisyelektronimikroskoopilla, jotta sen mahdollista terapeuttista käyttöä voitaisiin selvittää.
