My doctoral dissertation examines women’s memory narratives of paid labour during the Winter War (1939–1940) and the Continuation War (1941–1945, including the Lapland War) and in the years of rebuilding in Finland until early 1950s. As an ethnologist, I am interested in the personal level of everyday life and experiences of work. My main interest lies in the meanings women give to paid labour. The focus is on memory narratives, and I am reaching and I aim to bring to light the meanings given to work: what did paid labour mean for women during the war and the time of rebuilding and how do they tell about it decades afterwards? Bakalaura darba pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai pastāv saistība starp emocionālo intelektu, darba nedrošības izjūtu un iesaisti darbā. Pētījumā piedalījās 188 respondenti, kas bija dažāda līmeņa darbinieki no dažādām nozarēm. Respondenti bija vecumā no 24 – 68 gadiem. This study examined teachers’ occupational well-being by identifying profiles based on teachers’ self-ratings of work engagement as well as work-related effort and reward. It also did so by examining whether the identified subgroups differed with respect to teachers’ self-reported occupational stress and emotional exhaustion as well as with respect to work-related resources such as the individual resource of work meaningfulness and the leader-level resource of the leader–follower relationship. Pētījuma “Uztvertā stresa, darba-ģimenes konflikta radītāju saistība ar attālinātā darba biežumu” mērķis bija noskaidrot kādas saistības pastāv starp uztverto stresu, darba-ģimenes konfliktu un attālinātā darba biežumu. Pētījuma izlase tika veidota pēc brīvprātības principa. Pētījumā piedalījās viena respondentu grupa, vecumā no 25-50 gadiem. Pētījumā piedalījās 53 respondenti (N 53) , tai skaitā 10 (19%) vīrieši un 43 (81%) sievietes. Pētījuma piedalījās respondenti, kuri ir attālinātā darba veicēji un ģimenē viens no vecākiem veic attālināto darbu 35 (66%) gadījumos vai abi vecāki ģimenē veic attālināto darbu 18 (34%) gadījumos. In this dissertation, I study the observance of holy days among the peasantry in the early modern province of Savo, located on the eastern periphery of the Swedish kingdom (today Eastern Finland). I examine the practices, norms and meanings related to the observance of holy days both within and outside the Church, and analyse the changes and continuities in the post-reformation period. As the main sources of the study, I use district court records and visitation records mainly from the period 1639–1712.
