Does differential iron supply to algae affect Daphnia life history? : An ionome-wide study

The availability of iron (Fe) varies considerably among diet items, as well as ecosystems. Availability of Fe has also changed due to anthropogenic environmental changes in oceanic as well as inland ecosystems. We know little about its role in the nutrition of ecologically important consumers, particularly in inland ecosystems. Physiological studies in several taxa indicate marked effects of dietary Fe on oogenesis. We predicted that differential Fe supply to algae will impact algal Fe concentration with consequences on the life history of the freshwater grazer, Daphnia magna. Darbā tiek aprakstīti novecojošas sabiedrības veidošanās cēloņi un situācija pasaulē, īpaši Japānā. Atspoguļojot vēsturisko un esošo situāciju, kā arī valdības risinājumu meklējumus, tiek apskatīta iespējamā sabiedrības nākotne. Darba mērķis ir sniegt nelielu ieskatu Japānas novecojošās sabiedrības rašanās iemeslos, censties izprast, kā izveidojusies šāda situācija, un saprast, cik efektīvi ir risinājumi. Aprakstīti Japānas valdības centieni valstiskā līmenī risināt sabiedrības atražošanas problēmu, un kā tas ir ietekmējis valsts labklājības attīstības virzienu. Šķidruma uzņemšanas paradumi pusaudžu vecumā

Bakalaura darba tēma: Šķidruma uzņemšanas paradumi pusaudžu vecumposmā. Ūdens ir visdabīgākā un veselīgākā šķidruma izvēle pusaudzim, lai remdētu slāpes. Tas nodrošina organismam svīšanas, elpošanas, toksīnu un atkrituma produktu izvadīšanas, metabolisma procesos zaudētā šķidruma atjaunošanos. Turklāt ūdens nesatur ne kalorijas, ne cukuru, kas veicinātu aptaukošanās risku. Amerikas Savienotajās Valstīs 2013. gadā veikts pētījums rāda, ka 87% meiteņu un 85% zēnu rekomendētais nepieciešamais šķidruma daudzums neatbilst Pasaules Veselības Organizācijasuztura uzņemšanas noteiktajām normām atbilstoši vecumam. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot šķidruma uzņemšanas paradumus pusaudžu vecumposmā.

In this article we analyse autobiographical narrative texts written by university students studying Catalan as an Additional Language at a CEFR (2020) B1 level. The goal is to analyse the formative needs related to the writing of this genre in order to foster metadiscursive reflection in the classroom that will allow students to improve their written output. To this end, we analyzed a corpus of 39 autobiographies at both the macrotextual level (i.e., rhetorical moves) and the microtextual level (i.e., deictic elements which channel the narrative’s organization). Anna Murià, publicista i ideòloga (1936-1939)

L’objectiu d’aquest article és seguir la trajectòria com a publicista d’Anna Murià compresa entre 1936, any en què s’incorporà al Diari de Barcelona i el 1939, data en què va emprendre el camí de l’exili cap a França. Volem constatar l’existència d’una producció ideològica i política important durant aquests anys en els principals mitjans de l’època. L’estudi d’aquest període, el més desconegut de l’autora, aporta noves dades i resulta interessant atès el canvi significatiu que l’esclat de la guerra i el posterior exili propiciaren en la vida de Murià, perceptible tant des del punt de vista ideològic com personal, fet que repercutí clarament en la seva obra.
