Det har i Norge vært synkende deltagelse i valg både til Storting og kommunevalg ved de siste valgene. Ungdom i aldersgruppen 18 til 21 år har lavere oppslutning rundt valgene enn eldre aldersgrupper. Flere mener at e-demokrati kan bidra til å øke oppslutning rundt demokratiet og valgene. The purpose of this study is to investigatethe connection between Norwegian lower secondary pupils’ gaming habits,their essay grades and their written lexical richness in English, as well as to offer gamers’ attitudes towards gaming and language learning. A mixed method approach was applied in order to address three research questions focusing on the participants’ lexical richness, their grades and their attitudes toward learning through gaming.
