Whole mitochondrial genomes unveil the impact of domestication on goat matrilineal variability

Background The current extensive use of the domestic goat (Capra hircus) is the result of its medium size and high adaptability as multiple breeds. The extent to which its genetic variability was influenced by early domestication practices is largely unknown. Students’ sensory preferences (SP), that is, the ways or channels they prefer to receive the information, have been proposed as personal factors influencing science learning. Some studies relate improvement in learning to the adequacy of instructional resources to individual SP. A widely used instrument to determine SP is the VARK questionnaire. Teaching Digital Signal Processing (DSP) at the University of Valencia takes place in several subjects with a great overlap in contents. This work proposes an approach to unify DSP contents, so that it is possible to extract the contents corresponding with each subject. Moreover, the proposal is based on a repository that contains the common contents; the repository is hosted on a virtual learning environment, being Moodle and DotLRN the two platforms under study. The final implemented solution consists in an HTMLrepository formed by a number of basic teaching units. These basic units are packaged in a standard IMS-CP format, making up the materials of the different subjects.

Análisis de perfiles multivariados de valoración para la detección de alumnado con TDA-H

En este artículo se presentan los resultados del análisis realizado mediante análisis de conglomerados de k-medias para identificar perfiles multivariados de valoración para la identificación de niños con TDA-H. Para ello, se ha utilizado la Escala Magallanes (EMA-DDA), que requiere la evaluación del alumnado por parte de dos colectivos: padres y profesorado. En este artículo se pretende estudiar la influencia que ejerce el área metropolitana de Valencia (AMV) sobre el espacio contiguo occidental (las comarcas del Camp de Turia y la Hoya de Buñol-Chiva) en un aspecto determinado: la explotación de los recursos geológicos de este espacio. Para ello el estudio se centrara en primer lugar en las condiciones litológicas del área en cuestión. Seguidamente, definiremos la evolución de este sector desde finales del siglo XVIII.
