Quotients of Fermat curves and a Hecke character

AbstractWe explicitly identify infinitely many curves which are quotients of Fermat curves. We show that some of these have simple Jacobians with complex multiplication by a non-cyclotomic field. For a particular case we determine the local zeta functions with two independent methods. The first uses Jacobi sums and the second applies the general theory of complex multiplication, we verify that both methods give the same result.

Analysing the relationships between elements of an enterprise's financial statements, especially between elements from the balance sheet and those from the profit and loss account, the rates of return adds greater utility to the consumers of financial information, offering the possibility to make comparisons over time and space as well as to make reference to internal and external rates. Considering the companies listed on Bucharest Stock Exchange among the best performing, due to the high requirements imposed by a stock market, in this paper has been analyzed the way the financial crisis affected the financial performance in Mining and Quarrying Domain.

Maģistra darba mērķis ir izstrādāt jauna uzņēmuma dibināšanas plānu un biznesa plānu trim darbības gadiem. Maģistra darba gaitā darba autors izstrādāja un novērtēja izveidojamā uzņēmuma „Jumis Finances” dibināšanas plānu un biznesa plānu trim pirmajiem darbības gadiem. Projekta mērķis – dibināt neatkarīgu uzņēmumu, kas nodarbosies ar vērtspapīru individuālu portfeļu izstrādi un konsultāciju sniegšanu. Darbs izklāstīts uz 101 lapām un iekļauj izmantotās literatūras un citu informācijas avotu 46 nosaukumus, 26 tabulas, un17 attēlus. Darba pētīšanas metodes: statistiskā analīze, grafiskā analīze, vertikāla analīze, SVID analīze, riska matrica.

Non-invasive electrocardiography has proven to be a very interesting method for obtaining information about the foetus state and thus to assure its well-being during pregnancy. One of the main applications in this field is foetal electrocardiogram (ECG) recovery by means of automatic methods. Evident problems found in the literature are the limited number of available registers, the lack of performance indicators, and the limited use of non-linear adaptive methods. Se aportan datos corológicos de catorce plantas vasculares presentes en la provincia de Ávila (España). De ellas, cinco son primeras citas provinciales: Chamaesyce prostrata (Aiton) Small, Conyza sumatrensis (Retz.) E. Walker, Helianthus tuberosus L., Melia azedarach L. y Panicum miliaceum L. El resto de plantas vasculares no son muy conocidas en la zona. Flow-Injection Solid Phase Partial Least-Squares Spectrophotometric Simultaneous Determination of Iron, Nickel and Zinc

A PLS-2 multivariate calibration method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of iron, nickel and zinc in ternary mixtures by solid phase spectrophotometry associated with flow injection analysis. Fe(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) form color complexes with 1-(2-thiazolylazo)-2-naphthol (TAN), immobilized on a C18 bonded silica support, at pH 6.4. The proposed procedure is based on the different reaction/retention ratios of the studied ions on the solid support. Abstract Two different strategies for Buprofezin determination, an off-line extraction and stopped-flow determination and an automated procedure, based on the on-line extraction of Buprofezin samples with chloroform and flowing action analysis–fourier transform infrared (FIA–FT-IR) spectrometric measurement of the extracts, have been developed.
