Magnetostructural correlations in CuII−NC−WV linkage: the case of [CuII(diimine)]2+−[WV(CN)8]3− 0D assemblies
2009
International audience; We report on the syntheses, crystal structures, and magnetic properties of two cyano-bridged molecular assemblies: [CuII(phen)3]2{[CuII(phen)2]2[WV(CN)8]2}(ClO4)2·10H2O (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) (1) and {[CuII(bpy)2]2[WV(CN)8]} {[CuII(bpy)2][WV(CN)8]}·4H2O (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridyl) (2). Compound 1 consists of cyano-bridged [CuII2WV2]2− molecular rectangles and isolated [CuII(phen)3]2+ complexes. The molecular structure of 2 reveals cyano-bridged trinuclear [CuII2WV]+ and dinuclear [CuIIWV]− ions. Magnetic interactions in 1 are interpreted in terms of the model of a tetranuclear moiety consisting of two ferromagnetic CuII−NC−WV units (J1 = +39(4) cm−1) interacting ant…
Physico-chemical investigation of the state of cyanamide confined in AOT and lecithin reversed micelles
2004
Sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfosuccinate (AOT) and lecithin reversed micelles containing cyanamide have been investigated by small-angle X-ray scattering, FT-IR, and 1H NMR spectroscopy at various cyanamide-to-surfactant molar ratio (X) and at fixed surfactant concentration (0.1 mol kg-1). Experimental data are consistent with a model of cyanamide molecules confined in reversed micelles, quite uniformly distributed among them and mainly located among surfactant headgroups. SAXS data analysis leads also to hypothesize a unidimensional growth of the reversed micelles with increasing the X value. Moreover, the cyanamide state and the cyanamide/cyanamide interactions in reversed micelles have bee…
Synthesis of quadruped-shaped polyfunctionalized o-carborane synthons
2011
[EN] o-Carborane derivatives with precisely defined patterns of substitution have been prepared from 8,9,10,12-I-4-1,2-closo-C2B10H8 by replacing the iodine atoms, bonded to four adjacent boron vertices in the cluster, with allyl, and subsequently 3-hydroxypropyl groups. The resulting structures, comprising four pendant arms and two reactive vertices located on opposite sides of a central o-carborane core, can be envisaged as versatile precursors for dendritic growth
Self-Assembly-Directed Organization of a Fullerene–Bisporphyrin into Supramolecular Giant Donut Structures for Excited-State Charge Stabilization
2021
Functional materials composed of spontaneously self-assembled electron donor and acceptor entities capable of generating long-lived charge-separated states upon photoillumination are in great demand as they are key in building the next generation of light energy harvesting devices. However, creating such well-defined architectures is challenging due to the intricate molecular design, multistep synthesis, and issues associated in demonstrating long-lived electron transfer. In this study, we have accomplished these tasks and report the synthesis of a new fullerene–bis-Zn-porphyrin e-bisadduct by tether-directed functionalization of C60 via a multistep synthetic protocol. Supramolecular oligom…
2004
By means of this work, we try to analyze how onerous were for the royal town's treasury the expenses derived from their attendance to Assemblies. For this, we are taking, as an example, the royal town of Alcoy in the Cortes of 1443. We have based our study in the Proceso de Cortes and in municipal sources.

2004
The general purpose of this paper is, towards municipal source knowledge, to study Treasury incidence of Cortes council, designed by King Martin of Aragon in the city of Valencia between 1401 and 1407. Cortes books of account register some files related to complaints about the Cortes meeting (embassies and aids to the king...), wages (receivers, notary public, bailiffs...), the Cortes development (documents copy and shipment, reading of fueros and other local laws...) and other expenses (city entrance party games, tips to royal officials...). Negotiation, approval and distribution of Cortes economical donation they …
2003
This article studies the role of the General Bailía of Valencia—the office for the management of the royal domain resources of the kingdom of Valencia- in the political and military projects of Alfonso V the Magnanimous in the Mediterranean. In this way its also analysed the role of the Parliament, a class representation of the kingdom, and the city of Valencia, main urban centre The incomes from the royal domain, the donations from the Parliaments as a representative assemblies, and the loans provided by the city of Valencia contributed in a decisive way to the guarantee of the economic viability of Alfonso Vs military expansion. It is right that the main instruments that the king had to a…
2004
Call for Cortes council means to Valencia's city big expenses about municipal Treasury. All of them were accounted by clavario of the city in his book of accounts (document wages, copy, donations, etc.). From these books, and also by the same ones written by the Consell (Valencia city council), we can know which expenses they were, and also how, from 1428, mostly percent of these expenses were assumed by Diputation del General (also known as Generalitat, Kingdom political and economic assembly).

The Hsc/Hsp70 Co-Chaperone Network Controls Antigen Aggregation and Presentation during Maturation of Professional Antigen Presenting Cells
2011
The maturation of mouse macrophages and dendritic cells involves the transient deposition of ubiquitylated proteins in the form of dendritic cell aggresome-like induced structures (DALIS). Transient DALIS formation was used here as a paradigm to study how mammalian cells influence the formation and disassembly of protein aggregates through alterations of their proteostasis machinery. Co-chaperones that modulate the interplay of Hsc70 and Hsp70 with the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) and the autophagosome-lysosome pathway emerged as key regulators of this process. The chaperone-associated ubiquitin ligase CHIP and the ubiquitin-domain protein BAG-1 are essential for DALIS formation in mou…
Oxidation Enhances Human Serum Albumin Thermal Stability and Changes the Routes of Amyloid Fibril Formation
2014
Oxidative damages are linked to several aging-related diseases and are among the chemical pathways determining protein degradation. Specifically, interplay of oxidative stress and protein aggregation is recognized to have a link to the loss of cellular function in pathologies like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. Interaction between protein and reactive oxygen species may indeed induce small changes in protein structure and lead to the inhibition/modification of protein aggregation process, potentially determining the formation of species with different inherent toxicity. Understanding the temperate relationship between these events can be of utmost importance in unraveling the molecul…
