Una aproximación a las concepciones de estudiantes preuniversitarios y universitarios sobre pilas galvánicas

En el presente trabajo se han investigado las concepciones alternativas sobre pilas galvánicas y las interpretaciones de los procesos que tienen lugar en una pila voltaica simple. Han participado en él 55 estudiantes del 2º de Bachillerato español (curso previo al ingreso en la universidad) y 43 estudiantes de primer año del Grado de Química. Efficient checking of coherence and propagation of imprecise probability assessments

We consider the computational difficulties in the checking of coherence and propagation of imprecise probability assessments. We examine the linear structure of the random gain in betting criterion and we propose a general methodology which exploits suitable subsets of the set of values of the random gain. In this way the checking of coherence and propagation amount to examining linear systems with a reduced number of unknowns. We also illustrate an example.

Development of Computerized Adaptive Testing for Emotion Regulation

Emotion regulation (ER) plays a vital role in individuals’ well-being and successful functioning. In this study, we attempted to develop a computerized adaptive testing (CAT) to efficiently evaluate ER, namely the CAT-ER. The initial CAT-ER item bank comprised 154 items from six commonly used ER scales, which were completed by 887 participants recruited in China. P300 amplitudes in the Concealed Information Test are less affected by depth of processing than electrodermal responses

The Concealed Information Test (CIT) has been used in the laboratory as well as in field applications to detect concealed crime related memories. The presentation of crime relevant details to guilty suspects has been shown to elicit enhanced N200 and P300 amplitudes of the event-related brain potentials (ERPs) as well as greater skin conductance responses (SCRs) as compared to neutral test items. These electrophysiological and electrodermal responses were found to incrementally contribute to the validity of the test, thereby suggesting that these response systems are sensitive to different psychological processes. From imprecise probability assessments to conditional probabilities with quasi additive classes of conditioning events

In this paper, starting from a generalized coherent (i.e. avoiding uniform loss) intervalvalued probability assessment on a finite family of conditional events, we construct conditional probabilities with quasi additive classes of conditioning events which are consistent with the given initial assessment. Quasi additivity assures coherence for the obtained conditional probabilities. In order to reach our goal we define a finite sequence of conditional probabilities by exploiting some theoretical results on g-coherence. In particular, we use solutions of a finite sequence of linear systems.

Sanfilippo, Probabilistic logic under coherence, model-theoretic probabilistic logic, and default reasoning in System P, Journal of Applied Non-Classical Logics 12(2) (2002) 189---213.], we have explored the relationship between probabilistic reasoning under coherence and model-theoretic probabilistic reasoning.
