In recent years many cities, both in Italy and abroad, have adopted Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans, in which one of the key action is the developing of the sharing mobility. The aim of the paper is to define the role that carsharing plays in Palermo today and it will play in the future, thanks to the adoption of new strategies, such as the introduction of the free-floating system, and transport demand orientation policies, such as the increase in the parking fees for private cars or the expansion of the ZTL. Marine protected areas (MPAs) are considered viable fisheries management tools due to their potential benefits of adult spillover and recruitment subsidy to nearby fisheries. However, before–after control–impact studies that explore the biological and fishery effects of MPAs to surrounding fisheries are scarce. We present results from a fine-scale spatial gradient study conducted before and after the implementation of a 5 km 2 lobster MPA in southern Norway. Abstract The sedimentary environment, sediment characteristics and age-depth models of sediment sequences from Arctic lakes Revvatnet and Svartvatnet, located near the Polish Polar Station in Hornsund, southern Svalbard (77°N), were studied with a view to establishing a basis for paleolimnological climate and environmental reconstructions. The results indicate that catchment-to-lake hydroclimatic processes probably affect the transportation, distribution and accumulation of sediments in different parts of lakes Revvatnet and Svartvatnet. Bakalaura darba “Vidzemes muižu zemnieku sociālekonomiskais portrets 19. gs. pirmajā pusē: Lielvārdes muižas piemērs” mērķis ir analizēt 19. gadsimta pirmās puses sociālekonomisko un politisko norišu ietekmi uz Vidzemes zemnieku dzīves apstākļiem, par piemēru ņemot Lielvārdes privātmuižu. Darba ietvaros tiek analizēti 18. gadsimta un 19. gadsimta pirmās puses notikumi (zemnieku nemieri, Napoleona kari), Vidzemes muižniecība, tās izdotie likumi, kā arī informācija par Lielvārdes muižas zemniekiem šajā laikā. Darba rezultātā papildināta informācija par šo samērā maz pētīto muižu un analizēti dažādo notikumu, it īpaši dzimtbūšanas atcelšanas, ietekme uz zemnieku stāvokli īstermiņā.

The visual mismatch negativity (vMMN) response is an event-related potential (ERP) component, which is automatically elicited by events that violate predictions based on prior events. VMMN experiments use visual stimulus repetition to induce predictions, and vMMN is obtained by subtracting the response to rare unpredicted stimuli from those to frequent stimuli. One increasingly popular interpretation of the mismatch response postulates that vMMN, similar to its auditory counterpart (aMMN), represents a prediction error response generated by cortical mechanisms forming probabilistic representations of sensory signals. SAMSLAM: Simulated Annealing Monocular SLAM

This paper proposes a novel monocular SLAM approach. For a triplet of successive keyframes, the approach inteleaves the registration of the three 3D maps associated to each image pair in the triplet and the refinement of the corresponding poses, by progressively limiting the allowable reprojection error according to a simulated annealing scheme. This approach computes only local overlapping maps of almost constant size, thus avoiding problems of 3D map growth. It does not require global optimization, loop closure and back-correction of the poses.
